There is foreign entity looming large in America’s elections. It stands in between U.S. voters casting their ballots and their votes actually being counted. Voting machine companies. The latest example of voting machine malfeasance comes via the New Jersey governor’s race, where one of the closest contests in the nation has been marred by voting anomalies. This includes technical glitches with electronic poll books and reports that voting machines suddenly went down on Election Day. The votes on those machines were not even counted.

Funny Money[more clinton-machine fuzzy math] By Mike Gallagher Tuesday, April 3, 2007 A funny thing happened on the way to Hillary Clinton's announcement that she's raised a record-setting $26 million dollars this quarter.       It's time for cooler heads to prevail By Tony SnowFeb 24, 2006 WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Washington was wracked last week by a spasm of Know-Nothingism, starring Democratic and Republican members of Congress whose hysterics confirmed the Founders' view that the president, and not the legislature, ought to handle matters of national security.  At issue was a takeover of the British shipping firm P&O by a United Arab Emirates holding company, Dubai Ports World. The transaction, first reported in the British press last Oct. 30, should have been routine. P&O leases cargo terminals at a half-dozen U.S. ports, and pays...

The Pentagon is accusing Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV of distorting the intelligence work of its No. 3 civilian official, and calling on the Democrat to prove his charges or retract them.     It is unusual for the Pentagon to formally take on a sitting senator. In this case, the challenge came in a letter to Mr. Rockefeller on Friday from Powell A. Moore, the assistant secretary of defense for legislative affairs.     "On behalf of the department, I request that, if you have any evidence supporting the serious charge you floated during your press conference, you provide it to the department,"...
