DON'T BLAME CHANGING TIMES Most of us have learned to cope with, if not exactly embrace, the technological revolution that has completely restructured our world over the past two decades. Words like "Internet", "e-mail" and even "distance learning" may not be in your dictionary yet, but they soon will be. And that dictionary probably won't be paper like the ones most of us learned to use; instead, it will be part of the "spellchecker" on a computer hard drive, or perhaps on a single "CD-ROM" that contains thousands of pages of information. Despite my RELATIVE...

Government agencies may not have a monopoly on life-hunting space missions for much longer. Breakthrough Initiatives, which already scans the heavens for possible signals from faraway alien civilizations, is considering looking for E.T. on worlds close to home, founder Yuri Milner said. "We are thinking very seriously about solar system-based initiatives," Milner said here Sunday (Nov. 4) at the seventh annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony at NASA's Ames Research Center. "We're thinking, within our foundation, is there something we can do, privately funded, which will supplement the government-funded projects?" A potential Breakthrough mission to a destination in our own solar system...
  • Lateef wins in school board chairman's race ... dirty tricks (Exhibit A - How RATs Cheat)

Babur Lateef is the apparent winner of Tuesday’s special election for chairman of Prince William County School Board, garnering 48 percent of the unofficial vote to Alyson Satterwhite’s 41.9 percent. The win means Lateef, who ran with the support of Prince William County’s Democratic Committee, will hold onto the top spot on the eight-member board, while Satterwhite, who was endorsed by the local Republican committee, will remain the Gainesville representative on the board, a position she has held since 2012. Lateef was first appointed interim chairman earlier this year after former school board chairman Ryan Sawyers resigned the post following...

Bottom Line in Florida: Broward County Election Officials Have Been Violating the Law By now, you know that Republicans are raising the alarm over what's happening in Florida, as the margins apparent election night GOP victories -- punctuated by Democratic concessions -- are being whittled down in a heavily blue county. As expected, Democrats are falsely accusing the GOP of wanting to stop the process of counting votes. Republicans counter by raising a top Broward County election official's known history of malfeasance and incompetence, aggressively accusing the opposition party of try to steal an election, noting that the county has...

Just in time for this November’s mid-term elections! Did you know that since 1982, the Republican Party had been legally prohibited from contesting elections due to suspected vote fraud, because of a legal agreement called the Consent Decree the GOP made with the Democrat Party? Finally, 36 years later, a judge has ended the agreement, freeing the Republican Party to ensure electoral integrity by investigating and pursuing suspected vote fraud. Betcha you never heard or seen this truly momentous news in the Left-infested mainstream nedia. Why’s that?

A re-election celebration is underway in Pod 2 of the Montgomery County Jail after inmate number 232573 claimed victory in Texas House District 27. That inmate is known as Rep. Ron Reynolds, D-Missouri City, to the people on the outside. Reynolds was unopposed in the race for District 27 and the latest vote totals show Reynolds garnered 47,305 votes in Tuesday's election. Reynolds was booked into the county jail on Sept. 7. He's serving a year-long sentence after a 2015 conviction on five misdemeanor counts of using a middleman to chase ambulances in order to solicit clients for Reynolds’ law...

Yesterday, most of the AZ counties dumped their final ballots. The big one was Pima County (Tucwon) which is Enema territory, and she surged into an 8,000 lead. What is unclear at this time is whether this is all of Pima or just, as someone suggested, just 1/3. If 1/3, she will finish Pima +20,000. That seems like terrible news, but Maricopa has 195,000 ballots outstanding. If Enema has a 20,000 lead, McSally will have to break around 55-56% to win. Depending on where the precincts are, that could be impossible or relatively easy: *If Glendale, central Phoenix, Awatukee, or...

After being voted out of office, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) is placing some blame on Fox News. McCaskill, a moderate who attempted to distance herself from "crazy Democrats" during her re-election campaign, lost her bid for a third term on Tuesday to Josh Hawley, a Republican attorney general who President Trump had campaigned for the day before the election. On Wednesday, in an interview with The New York Times, McCaskill cited Trump's inflammatory rhetoric as having had an impact, noting that it had been spread to rural voters by Fox News.

In an email with the subject line "Two years later," Hillary Clinton marked the second anniversary of her presidential election defeat at the hands of President Trump by celebrating "our wins" in this week's midterm elections. She told supporters of Onward Together, a political action organization founded in 2017 by the former secretary of state, that none of the Democratic victories “would have been possible if people had simply given up after the heartbreak of 2016," when she lost to Trump in one of the biggest upsets in modern political history. "Two years ago, it wasn’t clear where this team...

Arizona’s drawn-out Senate election has attracted a lawsuit from Republicans in the state, challenging the procedure for how mail-in ballots are counted. Republican Martha McSally and Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, both U.S. representatives, are in a heated battle to become Arizona’s next senator. As of Thursday afternoon, McSally had 856,848 votes to Sinema’s 839,775, giving the Republican lawmaker a one-point edge with 99 percent of precincts reporting. Despite the lead, election forecasters are not ready to declare McSally a winner because of the inordinate amount of mail-in ballots still not counted. About 75 percent of Arizona voters cast their ballots by...

The U.S. attorney in New Haven, Connecticut announced that a federal grand jury has returned two indictments charging five people with the theft of federal funds. One if the individuals charged is James Sullivan, who is married to California Democratic Rep. Linda Sanchez. According to a government release, the U.S. attorney alleges that the defendants conspired to misuse an account that held funds provided by federal grants to the Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Corporation (CMEEC), a public corporation that allows municipal electric utilities in Connecticut to provide electricity. Under the membership agreement, six municipalities provided that excess revenues, known as...

Matthew Whitaker is well credentialed and an excellent choice to assume the duties of attorney general. Is Matthew Whitaker a placeholder who can manage Special Counsel Robert Mueller until President Trump decides on a permanent successor for ousted Attorney General Jeff Sessions? It’s possible, but it’s also conceivable that Mr. Whitaker’s temporary gig as acting attorney general is an audition for the job. Feeling like he’s been burned once, and then saddled for the better part of two years with an AG he could no longer abide, the president may want a trial run before he settles on a “permanent”...

Democratic lawyers were "descending on" the state in a calculated attempt to "change the results" and "try and steal" several statewide races..."So, it has been over 48 hours since the polls closed and Broward and Palm Beach Counties are still finding and counting ballots – and the Supervisors – Brenda Snipes and Susan Bucher – cannot seem to say how many ballots still exist or where these ballots came from, or where they have been," Scott said...Earlier this year, a judge found that Snipes had illegally destroyed ballots in a 2016 congressional contest,...

A U.S. appeals court has ruled that President Trump’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is likely unlawful. The decision from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals blocks Trump from terminating DACA protections for undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children, upholding a lower court’s decision. The ruling comes in response to a challenge from several individual DACA recipients; the states of California, Maine, Maryland and Minnesota; and the University of California regents. The court said it has concluded that the acting secretary of Homeland Security was wrong to conclude that the policy...
