Political scientist Dr. Lawrence Britt recently wrote an article about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page 20). Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common. He calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The excerpt is in accordance with the magazine's policy. The 14 characteristics are: Powerful and Continuing Nationalism Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays....

From the beginning, D’Souza has argued the charges brought against him were politically motivated and used as a way to stifle his political activism against the Obama administration and the Left. Documents from the case back up this assertion and show Department of Justice prosecutors misled a federal judge in an effort to get D’Souza a harsher prison sentence. Now, he’s speaking out about the situation.

So now here is a summary of the Netflix-Obama relationship: Netflix CEO raises large amounts of money for Obama in 2012 campaign; Netflix lobbies and gets net neutrality; and then, around 16 months after Obama leaves office, the Obamas get a contract worth $50 million even though they have no experience providing content. Since Obama, Netflix, and others are so interested in equality, I am sure they will be glad to list all other similar contracts to the Obama's with other men, women, blacks, Hispanics, LGBTQ members, and others. They should highlight the contracts with other people with no experience....

Think about this – a significant portion of our country, including a majority of its elite, thinks that it’s A-OK for a Democrat administration to spy on a Republican candidate. Think hard about that. And think about whether or not we can ever put the pieces of our shattered republic back together again if we can’t even agree that using government power against our political enemies is a bad thing. But the terrifying truth is that liberals and their Never Trump enablers actually think this kind of tyranny is a good thing. You see, they think Normal Americans are so transcendently...

For more than a year, the Democrat-aligned media has denied and scoffed at allegations that elements within the Obama administration had spied upon the Trump campaign during the 2016 election. That all changed recently with the leaked admission of an “informant” who’d been querying marginal Trump campaign associates for information about supposed connections to Russia on behalf of former President Barack Obama’s FBI.

From The Verge: The video was made in late 2016 by Nick Foster, the head of design at X (formerly Google X) and a co-founder of the Near Future Laboratory. The video, shared internally within Google, imagines a future of total data collection, where Google helps nudge users into alignment with their goals, custom-prints personalized devices to collect more data, and even guides the behavior of entire populations to solve global problems like poverty and disease.

A mysterious, cone-shaped device, shown in a demo Monday at Microsoft's Build event in Seattle, hinted at a big leap in capability for the company's digital assistant: the ability to see and identify people. In the ruthless war among Amazon's Alexa, Apple's Siri, and Google's Assistant, this is a feature we haven't yet seen from the competition. What we don't know is what this prototype is, and whether it will ever come out. Microsoft’s official, overshadowed demonstration showed us the conference room of the future. Microsoft incorporated Cortana, the Surface Hub, and Skype’s translation and transcription features, together with PowerBI...

When the Bank of America (BofA) and Citigroup announced changes in their policies earlier this month restricting loans to companies that sell or manufacture firearms, Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, sent a letter to the CEO of each bank:It is deeply concerning to me when large national banks … which receive significant forms of government support and benefits, use their market power to manage social policy by withholding access to credit to customers and companies they disfavor….We should all be concerned if banks … seek to replace legislators and policymakers...

CARACAS - Presidential candidate Henri Falcon pledged on Tuesday to raise Venezuela’s minimum wage to $75 per month in a newly-dollarized economy should he beat the ruling socialists in a May 20 vote. alcon slammed President Nicolas Maduro’s announcement on the eve of May Day that he was raising the minimum monthly salary to 1 million bolivars - the third increase this year, but still less than $2 at the black market rate. “That doesn’t even pay for a kilo of meat!” Falcon scoffed, saying prices in Venezuela were effectively pegged to the dollar, while wages were not, as a...

NEW YORK - Immigrants say President Donald Trump's administration has become almost everything they feared, but while they rally across the United States on May Day, their focus is less on huge turnout Tuesday than on the first Tuesday in November. Marches and other demonstrations for labor and immigrant rights were planned from Florida to New York to California on International Workers' Day and come amid similar actions worldwide. "The Trump administration has made very clear that they've declared war on the immigrant community on all levels," said Javier Valdes, co-executive director of the advocacy group Make the Road New...

May Day is a fitting time to commemorate the tens of millions of victims of this murderous ideology. Today is May Day. Since 2007, I have advocated using this date as an international Victims of Communism Day. I outlined the rationale for this proposal (which was not my original idea) in my very first post on the subject: May Day began as a holiday for socialists and labor union activists, not just communists. But over time, the date was taken over by the Soviet Union and other communist regimes and used as a propaganda tool to prop up their [authority]....

PARIS - Hundreds of hooded protesters held up an annual May Day demonstration in eastern Paris on Tuesday, with some smashing the windows of a McDonald’s restaurant and hurling petrol bombs inside. French police warned on Monday of possible clashes with far-left anarchist groups, known as Black Blocs, after a call on social media for a “Revolutionary Day”. Authorities said some 1,200 hooded and masked protesters had turned up on the sidelines of Tuesday’s planned demonstration by labor unions. Images also showed the smashed windows of a Renault garage on a road near the Austerlitz station and a construction vehicle...

President Trump’s March 23 seeming “betrayal” of his base validated the cynicism of many that it is futile to vote Republican or to vote at all. I disagree. Although I view Republicans as corrupt and dishonest, at least they do not pose a threat anywhere close to the magnitude of that of Democrats, now controlled by the left. The recent Mueller-instigated raid on the president’s lawyer shows just how dangerous the left is. Democrat control of Congress will jeopardize the Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of all Americans. ------------------------------------------------------ While the political correctness assault on free speech, especially by the media and...

Full title: University of Washington: Prof put on probation for mentioning her Christian faith in front of Muslim student This is how Islamic supremacist and Leftist students are shutting down free discourse all over the country: by claiming that it makes them feel "unsafe." At Stanford University, fascist students and faculty whipped up hysteria on campus in advance of my visit by claiming that my telling the truth about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat would make Muslim students on campus feel "unsafe." There was not a shred of evidence to support this claim, and of course no...

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is like so many politicians or journalists. She accuses others of doing things they don’t do, while supporting people who do things she claims she doesn’t support. Here is a recent headline and story showing it: Madeleine Albright on fascism and the "most undemocratic president" in U.S. history And here are the money quotes from the story: "I think Trump is the most undemocratic president I have ever seen in American history. And so that's what worries me. But I do think that we all need to pay attention, which is why I'm –...

ounger Americans have long told pollsters that they plan to vote and they are set to make good on that promise this fall in historic numbers. And when they do, it will be a wave favoring the Democrats, according to a new survey of voters aged 18-29 from Harvard University’s Institute of Politics being released Tuesday. The survey found that 53 percent probably or definitely will be voting. And of those most likely to vote, 55 percent lean Democratic and 21 percent Republican.

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is warning of a looming worldwide political threat. In her new book, "Fascism: A Warning," she argues contemporary world leaders are turning to the same tactics used by fascists like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini nearly a century ago. "We should be awake to the assault on democratic values that has gathered strength in many countries abroad and that is dividing America at home," she writes. Albright pointed to politics in countries like Hungary, Turkey, the Philippines, Poland and Venezuela. She also addresses President Trump in her book, writing: "If we think of fascism...

The fascist, intolerant, and oppressive nature of today’s leftist culture has now gotten so bad that The Atlantic, a liberal publication long considered a reasonable intellectual voice from the left, can no longer tolerate for more than two weeks the hiring of a conservative, even though that conservative, Kevin Williamson, was also a vehement opponent of Donald Trump....Williamson’s firing is only one example of a legion of similar stories. There is the fascist intolerance of modern academia for example. Or we can talk about the hateful scapegoating of innocent NRA members...Or maybe we should mention the hate and violence committed...
