In a controversial move, California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill lowering the crime of deliberately exposing a sexual partner to HIV from a felony to a misdemeanor.

It’s no secret that Hollywood has not been inclusive to anyone outside of the cisgendered, straight, white description. Thankfully, many consumer have made strides to change this, giving exposure to people of color and LGBT directors, producers, writers, artists and musicians. The General Synod of the Church of England has officially passed a motion welcoming and affirming transgender people to the church. A top bishop also declared that being LGBT is "not a sin." A lesbian teacher in Tampa, Florida, allegedly told at least three of her students to take off the cross necklaces they were wearing while in her ninth-grade classroom.
