Have you noticed that the people who get caught using blackface are always Democrats? Don't forget that liberals always accuse you of what they are doing. In recent weeks in the wake of the George Floyd protests and the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement, the spotlight has shone on the likes of late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon for past use of blackface for comedy sketches. And among the multitude of voices calling for these celebrities to face consequences for their past actions are a number of conservative figures and media outlets. The list is endless: Justin...

Videos and photos of the skits on the show, which ran from 1999-2004, have been circulating online recently with calls for Kimmel to apologize.

Wednesday on NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) declared President Donald Trump spoke “words of a dictator.” Fallon asked, “What are your thoughts in the administration currently, and how they’ve been dealing with this on top of the pandemic?” Harris said, “I mean, Jimmy, we’ve got a president of the United States, or at least somebody who occupies that position, who doesn’t understand the job and isn’t capable of performing the job. Most recently, you know, frankly, the words that he speaks are the words not of a president. They’re the words of a dictator.”

Jimmy Fallon’s sin isn’t blackface. If the controversy surrounding him were real, long before cancel culture sunk its teeth into "The Tonight Show" host they would have attacked ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel for the same sin. But they didn’t and they won’t. For the same reason everything is a controversy or not these days, it always comes down to the same, predictable thing: Donald Trump. If you’re wondering how I got here, hang with me. In case you’re most people who don’t concern yourself with social media mobs and celebrity culture, let’s get caught up. A video surfaced online from a...

Talk show host Jimmy Fallon has released an apology after a clip of him in blackface started trending on Twitter. The SNL skit from 2000, which shows the comedian doing an impression of Chris Rock, resurfaced again on the internet on Tuesday triggering the hashtag #jimmyfallonisoverparty to trend. Admitting his regrets over the sketch the 45-year-old Tonight Show host took to social media to apologize to those he may have offended. 'In 2000, while on SNL, I made a terrible decision to do an impersonation of Chris Rock while in blackface. There is no excuse for this.

Twitter users are calling for Jimmy Fallon to be 'cancelled' after a Chris Rock impression he did in 2000 resurfaced showing him wearing dark makeup. It's the second time the clip has emerged in recent years and has reignited the debate on blackface and cancel culture. Most recently it surfaced when Megyn Kelly was let go from The Today Show in 2018 after she defended blackface Halloween costumes.

Jimmy Fallon says the wide field of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates offers "a breath of fresh air" for late-night TV hosts looking for new material. I want my show at the end of a long day to be a wind-down,” the host of “The Tonight Show” says in an interview with Variety published Monday. “We talk about everything that’s in the news. Right now, all it is is Trump — that’s just the way it is,” says Fallon in a conversation with Hasan Minhaj, host of Netflix's “Patriot Act.” “Now we’re getting into the [2020 Democratic presidential field] and it’s...

On Thursday, May 30, Morrissey was ‘canceled’. According to the Guardian, a British newspaper fond of such decrees, fans now feel ‘betrayed’ by the singer’s recent controversial and provocative statements, which have included support for Anne Marie Waters’s nationalist For Britain party. ‘Morissey [sic], what happened?’ the Guardian agonized on Twitter. But maybe they already know the answer. In just a decade, political correctness has obtained a stranglehold on Western culture. The provocateurs and counter-cultural icons of the late 20th century have been replaced by commercially compromised ‘influencers’, and artists who are carefully selected by social censors. ... Morrissey is...

[snip] A year and a half into the Trump presidency, entertainment companies are grappling with a fan base that is splintering into political factions as never before. Whether in regard to explicitly political entertainment or the rapidly multiplying number of entertainers who talk about politics, Americans appear to be increasingly figuring ideology into their Hollywood choices. Some fans, to be sure, have long been drawn to or repelled by the occasional outspoken celebrity — Jane Fonda for her antiwar views, for example. But fans are now judging a much wider range of entertainment and entertainers for the way those people...

President Trump mocked "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon on Twitter Sunday after the comedian expressed regret over how he handled a guest appearance by then-candidate Trump in September 2016. The president said that Fallon is "whimpering to all that he did the famous 'hair show' with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have 'humanized' me-he is taking heat."

The surprise commencement speaker at the Florida high school where a gunman killed 17 people in February was Jimmy Fallon, who said he wanted to thank the students personally for their courage and bravery. “Most commencement speakers get up and talk in future tense: `You will succeed. You will make us proud, you will change the world,’ the “Tonight Show” host said. “But I’m not going to say that, because you’re not the future. You’re the present. … You are succeeding, you are making us proud.” Fallon joked about his own less-than-stellar high school performance — it took having to...

Late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon teamed up with MTV and the NAACP to send busloads of protesters to take part in Saturday’s student march for gun control. Well here we go - the kickoff of Inauguration Week! And for the occasion we’re going back to our roots, shallow though they may be, of Lady M’s fashion iconery. Today’s fashion commentary is sponsored by Gerard at American Digest where today you can find all manner of amazing information: an update on David Brooks, a Leopard selfie, a surprisingly up-close-and-personal account of the Penthouse years, a great rendition of David Bowie’s “Heroes” – and much, much more!Butt for my fashion post there’s this, from Lady M’s most recent (and last as FLOTUS) appearance with Jimmy Fallon. For the pre-show “surprise” meet-and-greet...

“The Tonight Show” host humanized a dangerous man on Thursday night. Jimmy Fallon had Donald Trump on “The Tonight Show” Thursday night, and all some people could talk about afterward was a head rub. Toward the end of the interview, Fallon asked the Republican presidential nominee if he could mess up his famous head of hair on live TV, leading to raucous applause and the sort of bite-sized video that both the creators and consumers of internet media eat up. Before the rub, Fallon did sneak in a few subtle quips, like asking Trump if he knew what a coin...

Liberal Tonight Show viewers were left incensed after host Jimmy Fallon did not try to take down Donald Trump or attempt to trip him up with “gotcha” questions during the pair’s interview on the NBC program Thursday night. Instead, Fallon hosted Trump for an entertaining but insightful interview, during which the candidate clarified his relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, talked about the upcoming first presidential debate and let the late-night host “mess up” his usually well-kept hair. That wasn’t enough for progressives on Twitter, who took to the platform late Thursday night and Friday morning to excoriate Fallon for...

Nothing here is what a confused and deceived culture thinks it is. Unlike a lot of celebrities, I do not think Jimmy Fallon is actively hostile toward the traditions of this nation, nor toward Christianity. I think for the most part he just tries to get along with everyone and finds it easier to go with the flow of the prevailing culture rather than to think too deeply about things. But either of the two stances - active hostility or passive acceptance - gets you to the same delusional conclusion, which is why Fallon’s brief and clearly heartfelt statement about...
