Today I learn of a 10-year old boy who simply "suddenly died." I need to gather more information. Please, FRiends, let this thread be a repository for stories, the likes of which I heard today, that simply make no sense. Please post links or anything you think of. Let's try to keep it efficient. Let's let this be a useful repository of information We all know what is going on here, but nobody is yet covering it. We can be the vanguard as we have been. Could you help by remembering certain stories over the past months and years, suggesting...

Sugar substitutes found in many supermarket foods have been shown to kill off antibiotic-resistant bacteria that cause pneumonia and sepsis. Three artificial sweeteners used in products such as diet drinks, yogurts and desserts dramatically halt the growth of multidrug-resistant priority pathogens, but they also reduce the bacteria's resistance to commonly used antibiotics, meaning fewer are needed. This discovery could lead the fight against superbugs. "Artificial sweeteners are present in all diet and sugar-free foods," said Dr. Ronan McCarthy. "We discovered that these same sweeteners that you have with your coffee or in your 'sugar-free' soda could kill very dangerous bacteria...

Link only Bloomberg article that may explain why the chip embargo basically went into place overnight. It's very possible that Xi Jinping will move on Taiwan in the next two years. And that is presumably why Biden has given 3 warnings to China, and Xi is downplaying any new policy on Taiwan. The big game we've been waiting for in the Western Pacific? It's coming. Anyone invested in equities should prepare to assume the position. What position? BOHICA.

Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is set to appear on CNN's State of the Union with Dana Bash and Jake Tapper on Sunday after weeks of establishment media ignoring Lake and her rise in the polls. Lake, a Trump-endorsed candidate and former local news correspondant, had critisized establisment media in the past for their bias in reporting on her candidacy; they even went so far as to attack her daughter in June.

Hello tinnitus, my old friend You've come to sing to me again I hear the sound of dentists drilling Of sinks of water over-filling And the sound is ringing in my brain It will remain It is the sound of tinnitus In restless dreams, I hear the tone I know I’ll never be alone You’re always there when I wake up You say we never will break up When I lay down my head to sleep at night After I turn out the light I miss the sound of silence They say they’re searching for a cure Ten thousand doctors,...

In my previous review of the novel Joseph the Huron by Antoinette Bosco, I mentioned briefly a scene in the book describing the capture and torture of an Iroquois prisoner by the Hurons. The details of this scene were drawn from the true story which appeared in the Jesuit Relations. Of course, Mrs. Bosco softened the story somewhat to make it more suitable for her audience of younger readers. When writing the review, I revisited the original account of this prisoner in the Relations. Written in 1639 by an eye-witness—Jesuit Fr. Jerome Lalemant—I recalled the impression the account had made...

Honey has exceptional antimicrobial and tissue-regenerative properties which should be exploited to the full to help wounds heal, say scientists. The sweet substance, the researchers say, is offering an alternative to conventional antimicrobial drugs which are increasingly becoming ineffective in the face of growing resistance. However, more work, say the researchers, is needed to identify and quantify the compounds that give honey its antimicrobial and wound healing properties to make it more reliable and standardized. Honey has been mainly used as a topical application on wounds for its antibacterial properties, resulting from its ability to generate hydrogen peroxide and the...

If you’re already fed up with the repugnant race pandering from sports like NASCAR and the English Premier League, get ready for much worse. Watching the NBA or NFL will be tantamount to endorsing the loathsome ideology of BLM and Antifa. Take a knee, sports fan, or take a hike. I’m choosing the latter. When I turned on the restart of the EPL to see all teams take the knee while wearing Black Lives Matter on their jerseys, my viewing days were over. The fake-noose abomination and subsequent race pandering of NASCAR ending that decades-long kinship. Even watching sport shows...

The NFL’s Week 16 did not look very good for a number of teams hoping to pull fans into stadiums as the season wears down. This week’s empty seats started on Saturday when the Washington Redskins visited the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium...

S&Z Grocery Store in Athens, Alabama, announced Wednesday that it would be boycotting Pepsi products until they remove the logo:.... The store’s owner, Phillip Stewart, told WAFF he personally removed the bottles from the shelf because he felt it was wrong to sell the products bearing a logo for a league he does not support. “I don’t want to support them in any way, because I feel like it’s just wrong. I can’t in good conscious sell the product because it does have the logo on it,” Stewart said. “I pulled them myself, the customers didn’t know I was doing...

President Donald Trump has made his name from sales of everything from suits to steak, but this is his first time selling sneakers — even though that probably wasn’t his intention. Nike sales jumped by 31 percent after debuting quarterback-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick as a new company spokesman — and market observers say the president’s public displays of anger may have backfired by drawing more attention to Nike. “Controversial endorsements tend to generate a lot of hype,” said Marshal Cohen, chief industry analyst for retail at The NPD Group, a market research firm. “These kinds of statements and brand partnerships make...

I’m from Green Bay; my high school colors were green & gold and I am part owner of the Green Bay Packers from when they sold stock after the 1997 Super Bowl victory. So, it took quite a bit to get me to boycott the NFL, but they managed it. Until the owners require their players to stand for the national anthem, or sit for the game, I won’t watch a minute, and I’m not alone. Since Colin Kaepernick began kneeling during the anthem in a misguided protest against police violence, the NFL has been hemorrhaging fans. Both TV viewership...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK) President Barack Obama congratulated Michael Sam on Saturday for being the first openly gay football player taken in the National Football League draft, the White House said in a statement. "From the playing field to the corporate boardroom, LGBT Americans prove everyday that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are," Obama said. He also congratulated the NFL and the St. Louis Rams, the team that drafted Sam. Sam, an All-American defensive end who played for the University of Missouri, made history when he was picked by the Rams in the seventh and final...

Again, this January 22, hundreds of thousands of pro-life Americans will converge on Washington for the March for Life. The March has taken place every year since 1974 to protest the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision on January 22, 1973, which legalized abortion. Good news for pro-lifers is that 2009 showed evidence of turnaround in national sentiment toward tolerance for abortion. Two Gallup polls, one done in May and one done in August, showed higher percentages identifying as "pro-life" than "pro-choice." The opposite had been true in all previous years since Gallup first started doing this survey in 1995....

The question of how Randy Moss will mesh with the Patriots [team stats] is sure to remain a compelling one until the games actually begin. According to a pro scout who has watched Moss extensively throughout his career, one of his greatest attributes also ranks among his least publicized - his ability to read defenses. “It’s kind of interesting, because I hear people say he doesn’t know how to run routes and all this other stuff,” said the scout, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “But he’s one of the few guys I know of in this league who when...
