ORLANDO, Fla. – A civil rights group plans to sue the FBI for $30 million on behalf of the family of a Chechen man who was fatally shot while being questioned about a Boston Marathon bombing suspect. The Council of American-Islamic Relations Florida on Monday filed a notice of claim stating its intention to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the FBI over the death of Ibragim Todashev.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, now an MSNBC contributor, is wholly perplexed by the fact that there is a share of independent and Democrat voters who say they would support a candidate who questioned the legitimacy of the 2020 election. Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cautioned former President Donald Trump and other elected officials from questioning election results. After claiming Russian President Vladimir Putin “helped elect Trump” in 2016 instead of her, Clinton said suggesting the 2020 presidential election was rigged or not conducted fairly is doing the work of Putin. She explained Putin wants to “sow distrust” and “sow divisiveness” in the United States.

During Monday’s broadcast of “CNN Newsroom,” former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) urged Republican lawmakers to “move on” from questioning the 2020 presidential election results. With the Democratic Party “moving more progressive,” Flake suggested “there is plenty of room” for the GOP to “do well in the midterms.” He said to do so, the party would need to quit the “craziness of questioning the last election and going after” people who have spoken out against former President Donald Trump.

A conservative legal group has stated its intentions to file a lawsuit against New Jersey over a recently signed law banning sexual orientation conversion therapy for minors. Mat Staver, founder and chairman of The Liberty Counsel, confirmed to The Christian Post on Monday his organization's plan to file the suit. The Washington Post reports singer Donnie McClurkin was scheduled to perform at the concert Saturday evening to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Several gay rights activities objected to his participation ahead of the event.
