Republican Loren Bennett tells the Detroit Free Press Friday that he is planning to run as a write-in candidate. He was in the Michigan Senate from 1995 to 2002.

Gary Peters in the 9th congressional district, an independent weekly tracking poll released Wednesday indicates. The automated poll conducted Sept. 13 of 300 likely voters in the 9th congressional district and 400 likely voters statewide has Raczkowski at 45 percent and Peters at 40.7 percent with 10.3 percent undecided. LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo says he takes responsibility for a 2004 accident in which his wife damaged a city-owned vehicle while driving with a suspended license. Delgadillo told reporters at a news conference this afternoon that he realizes he should have spoken up earlier. He said "That was a mistake." He says he mishandled the situation and he apologizes.
