President Biden phoned Al Roker on Thursday to land a cameo in NBC’s coverage of the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade — repeating his “America is Back” mantra to the weatherman even as inflation and sky-high gas prices have made this the most expensive turkey day ever. Roker acted as though he was surprised, though the performance was unconvincing, as presidential aides typically notify journalists in advance of such calls and TV news anchors rarely answer their phones mid-broadcast.

In a fawning interview with billionaire Bill Gates aired on Wednesday’s 3rd Hour Today show, co-host Al Roker hailed the Microsoft founder for launching a climate change crusade to “help save the planet.” A prominent left-wing climate activist in his own right, Roker was particularly concerned about “deniers” spreading “misinformation” and wondered if “big tech” could be used to silence them. “Bill Gates is talking about saving the planet. Being emissions free in 30 years,” Roker heralded at the top of the segment. Turning to Gates, Roker fretted: “Plain and simple, if we don’t act now, what’s at stake here?”...

After the liberal media spent years telling viewers that climate change would increase the frequency and severity of hurricanes, on Friday, NBC’s Today show weatherman Al Roker revealed that the changing climate would actually decrease the number of storms during the upcoming hurricane season. “And just in, we have an update for our hurricane season 2018 from the National Hurricane Center....the August update is that we’ve got a 60% chance of a below-normal hurricane season. That would be great news,” Roker announced during a weather report in the 7:30 a.m. ET half hour. He then explained the cause:

The Weather Channel says it is getting rid of its reality TV shows, along with morning shows led by Sam Champion and Al Roker. The struggling network is looking to get back to its roots, with less expensive programming and a lineup that appeals more to weather geeks. An estimated 50 people out of The Weather Channel's staff of 1,400 are losing jobs as a result, the network said on Thursday. The NBC Universal-owned network had lured Champion from ABC's "Good Morning America" to host "AMHQ," a weather-focused morning news program. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has been criticized for putting children at risk by failing to declare a snow day as blizzards hit the city on Wednesday. Teacher's unions and elected officials called the mayor's decision a 'mistake' as schools were kept open despite New York's governor declaring a state of emergency. NBC weather anchor Al Roker even took time out from his Olympic coverage to blast the mayor's snow policy, saying: 'It’s going to take some kid or kids getting hurt before this goofball policy gets changed.'

NBC's Al Roker was appalled by a poll of conspiracy theories that showed 37 percent of those surveyed believed global warming was a hoax. During a discussion, on Wednesday's Today show, of a Public Policy Polling survey that included respondents' views on everything from the John F. Kennedy assassination to the existence of Bigfoot, co-host Willie Geist reported: "Global warming is a hoax. Thirty-seven percent believe that." To which Roker responded with an audible, "Wow!" and then later scolded global warming skeptics: "Okay, two words: Superstorm Sandy!" The only trouble is that no one considered that sticking a bunch of drunk midgets into Ewok costume might end with dry humping, fighting, and moon-walking. According to the Warming Glow, there's confirmation that the people inside Ewok costumes were genuinely drunk, but whether that's true or not, this is bound to turn into a Halloween classic.
