A few days ago, Mrs. Clinton said something rather irresponsible. She told an audience that Stacey Abrams would have already won Georgia race if “she had a fair election.” Did someone mention to Mrs. Clinton that Mr. Kemp is up by 58,000? What evidence does Mrs. Clinton have? Is she suggesting that the entire election system in Georgia is corrupt? What about the Democrats who won? Are those elections unfair too? We are watching three important stories here: First, the Democrats are playing the race card through these recounts. It's no coincidence that the two losing candidates are liberal African...

Thousands of protesters demonstrated in Norwegian cities on Saturday against restricting women’s access to abortion, the subject of talks between the ruling minority coalition and a small party seeking to join the government. In Norway’s capital Oslo, the demonstrators, some pushing children in strollers, marched through the city center carrying banners with slogans such as “My body my right” and “Defend abortion”. “The new law that’s proposed is limiting women’s rights,” said Ine Lund, a 22-year-old criminology student. “I feel it should be up to the woman to choose.” When the Christian Democrats opened talks on teaming up with the...

Veteran Alabama law enforcement officer Mark Pettway grew up in a black neighborhood called “Dynamite Hill” because the Ku Klux Klan bombed so many houses there in the 1950s and ’60s. Now, after becoming the first black person elected sheriff in Birmingham — on the same day voters elected the community’s first black district attorney — Pettway sees himself as part of a new wave of officers and court officials tasked with enforcing laws and rebuilding community trust fractured by police shootings, mass incarceration, and uneven enforcement that critics call racist. In a state where conservative politicians typically preach about...

Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell suggested on Friday that the U.S. government could use nuclear weapons on its own citizens if they fight back against firearm confiscation. Right-wing internet personality Joe Biggs tweeted at Swalwell in response to a May report that Swalwell wants to ban “military-style semiautomatic assault weapons” and prosecute gun owners who did not turn in their newly-banned weapons.

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand on Monday said she will support the construction of a street-level community grid to replace the elevated portion of Interstate 81 in Syracuse.Until now, Gillibrand declined to take a position on the issue, saying it was up to Central New Yorkers to choose the best option for replacing the 1.4-mile viaduct that cuts through the heart of Syracuse.Gillibrand, D-N.Y., said during a visit to Syracuse on Monday that she decided to speak out after discussions with community stakeholders who favor the grid over a tunnel or new elevated highway."Given where the stakeholders are -- and given what...

A U.K. secondary school is banning a variety of designer jackets in an effort to stop "poverty-shaming." Parents of students at Woodchurch High School, an institution in northwestern England, received a letter earlier this month from the school regarding the new policy. "Pupils will not be permitted to bring in Canadian [sic] Goose and Monclair [sic] coats after the Christmas break, the letter reads. "Some have also asked whether Pyrenex coats, which are also in a similar price range (with some also having real fur) will also be prohibited," it adds, before confirming "that these brands will also be prohibited...

My essential understanding is that every right in the Constitution was for everybody. In the case of the free press, we are the free press. It was not just to a select group of people, who publish articles on the various media. But I need better proof than this from references. Can you help me?

Democrat Stacey Abrams admitted a few minutes ago that she will not be the next governor of Georgia, but she refused to concede to her opponent, Secretary of State Brian Kemp: "I will not concede because the erosion of our democracy is not right." “More than 200 years into Georgia’s democratic experiment, the state failed its voters,” she said

Persecution of LGBTQ+ people by a Tanzanian governor appears to have resulted in Denmark withdrawing millions of kroner in aid to the developing country. Minister for International Development Ulla Tørnæs said in parliament this week that the government will withhold 65 million kroner which was scheduled to be paid to the east African country this year. “I am very concerned over the negative developments in Tanzania, most recently with the completely unacceptable homophobic statements from a commissioner,” Tørnæs, who did not name the official in question, said. “Respect for human rights is one of the most important priorities in Denmark’s...

New Zealand high school students have demanded examiners ignore that they don’t know what the word “trivial” means, after it appeared in a final-year exam and left many confused. Some students who took the year 13 history exam claimed the “unfamiliar word” was too hard, and the exam should now be marked according to each student’s different understanding and interpretation of “trivial”. The exam asked for students to write an essay on whether they agreed with a quote from Julius Caesar which reads: “Events of importance are the result of trivial causes”. An online petition claims the word trivial “caused...

I had an unfortunate event happen to me this morning. For a semi-retirement job I decided to substitute teach. After hearing 2 black students tell me they hated history, I began to extol the rich contributions of blacks to American history. Moments later I was escorted to the office by the principal and escorted to the door. He implied I was a racist and we do not single out black students in our school. The parents of the students are coming in to support the students. and I will be blacklisted from subbing in county schools.I learned firsthand the sensitivity...

As you know, celebrity attorney Michael Avenatti was arrested Wednesday night after having been accused of domestic violence. Fox News’ Bret Baier was among those noticing some irony in Avenatti reminding everybody that a presumption of innocence is how things are done in the American legal system, but this evening Avenatti fired back: ..Contrary to @foxnews and others, I have always advocated for due process including with Judge Kavanaugh

Monica Lewinsky details the events leading up to her first intimate encounter with Bill Clinton in the A&E docuseries The Clinton Affair. It It happened on November 14, 1995, in the middle of the government shutdown when Lewinsky had been called in to help with the phones. On that date there had been a surprise party for one of Clinton's staffers, and at one point Lewinsky realized her thong was exposed while Clinton was near her in the room. Lewinsky opted to keep her thong out as Clinton walked by, and a short while later when she walked by his...

While much of the nation’s attention has been focused on the post-election shenanigans in south Florida that resulted in a recount for the U.S. Senate seat and governorship, the governor’s race in Georgia also remains uncalled at this time as Democrat-led legal fights have delayed the certification of the vote totals in the hope of similarly triggering a recount or runoff election. Those efforts to delay the inevitable declaration of victory for Republican candidate Brian Kemp may have finally run their course, though, and even as Democrat candidate Stacey Abrams camp is calling a federal judge’s ruling on Wednesday a...
