City Journal's Christopher F. Rufo reports that "Evanston-Skokie School District 65 has adopted a radical gender curriculum that teaches pre-kindergarten through third-grade students to celebrate the transgender flag, break the 'gender binary' established by white 'colonizers,' and experiment with neo-pronouns such as 'ze,' 'zir,' and 'tree.'" (Tree?) In his piece, Rufo claimed that he had "obtained the full curriculum documents, which are part of the Chicago-area district's 'LGBTQ+ Equity Week,' which administrators adopted last year." This is yet another instance of an educational institution going all out to "groom" — meaning indoctrinate — young children into acting, behaving, and identifying...

California has gradually weaned itself off fossil fuel fracking well ahead of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom’s 2024 ban of the oil and gas extraction method. The California Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM), the agency that oversees new permits, has denied 109 new permits from fossil fuel firms this year, according to Department of Conservation data. State regulators have approved just 12 permits in 2021, the most recent of which came in February. Uduak-Joe Ntuk, the state’s oil and gas supervisor, said he couldn’t approve new fracking grants “in good conscience” in a September letter to the energy firm Aera Energy,...

"All lives matter."We live in such a bizarro world that such a statement is now considered absolutely taboo to express. That was probably the reason why when the father of Ahmaud Arbery, following the jury verdicts in his son's murder, stated "all lives matter" with Al Sharpton hovering over his shoulder as witness, it had to be quickly dealt with. And the way Newsweek handled the "heresy" of Marcus Arbery was to absurdly claim that we really didn't hear him say what we plainly heard him say.

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Reports,” Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) argued that changes in the price of gas are one reason why “we have to accelerate our program to get off of fossil fuels” and control of the oil supply by other countries is “another reason why we need to accelerate our efforts to get off of fossil fuels.” Cardin said, “The challenge, of course, is we have to transition off of the fossil fuels to renewable fuels. We need to do that for our economy. We need to do it for our environment. We need to do...
