For a while during the runup to the elections last month, it looked as if former Republican real estate developer Rick Caruso might pull off a miracle and defeat Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass to become the next Mayor of Los Angeles. In the end, Bass squeaked out a six-point victory and will be inaugurated as the first female Mayor in the city’s history. Out on the campaign trail, Bass made a point of repeatedly promising to tackle the city’s endemic homelessness crisis. Not coincidentally, a large group of homeless people have been living in an encampment that activists set up...

If you've ever seen the movie Independence Day - I've developed a vote fraud theory called "the Mothership theory".Basically, a Mothership parked over an urban area "controls" a number of counties surrounding the Mothership county. One can see the outlines of these controlled areas by comparing the 2008 election by county with the 2020 election by county.Remember - Zero in 2008 was the Second Coming. People, even nominal Republicans, fell all over themselves to vote for the "first black president".He set records. You can see the remains of the record-setting Obama votes of 2008 in 2020 in counties not controlled by the...

A Boston suburb has set up one-way sidewalks in order to have residents practice social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic. Police in Beverly, in the north of the city, have mandated that locals who are walking in opposite directions along bustling Lothrop Street must now use separate sidewalks so that they are not brushing up against one another. Pedestrians must now walk against traffic and failure to comply with the new directive could result in a $100 fine. It comes as the state of Massachusetts struggles to slow the spread of COVID-19, with at least 16,790 confirmed cases. Beverly is...

How a 1980s sci-fi flick became an inspiration for Marxist tracts"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I’m all out of bubblegum.” It’s one of my favorite movie lines of all time, but there are other reasons I love John Carpenter’s sci-fi action movie They Live, which celebrates its 30th anniversary later this year. Starring the 1980s professional wrestler “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, it is one of the best B-movies of the era. Kurt Russell was supposed to play the lead role, but Carpenter felt that after directing so many Russell vehicles, he should go with someone...

If you blinked, you might have missed it. At a speech in Kansas City to the VFW annual convention on Tuesday, President Donald Trump -- amid one of his trademark anti-media rants -- said this (emphasis mine): "Stick with us. Don't believe the crap you see from these people, the fake news. ... What you're seeing and what you're reading is not what's happening."I know I keep saying this, BUT: That is an absolutely remarkable thing for any elected leader to say -- especially when that leader is the most powerful person in the country. And I know I keep...

Alien life is behind the mysteries of the universe, according to a radical new theory. Ancient non-human life forms morphed into the physical world and are the driving force behind mind-boggling quantum physics and phenomena like dark matter, according to a Columbia University astrophysicist. The expert says our universe is the remains of intelligent alien life that controls all aspects of the physical world — from gravity to the speed of light.

"Who is this guy?" tens of millions of American voters asked themselves last night. "This isn't the Mitt Romney the media's presented to me over the last six months?" Free of the corrupt media's corrupt filter; free of the spin, the lying fact-checkers, the gotchas, and the desperate effort to cover up any and all bad news that might hurt Obama -- by every standard, every measure, every opinion and every opinion poll, what we witnessed last night at the first presidential debate of 2012 was a commanding, dominating blow-out performance by Governor Mitt Romney. Last night the GOP contender...

Imagine a planet where jellyfish rule the seas, giant rodents roam the mountains and swarms of insects blur everything in sight. It may sound far-fetched, but enough global warming is likely to change the distribution of wildlife on Earth. While species that are under threat, such as the polar bear, seem to get all the attention, others are beginning to thrive like never before. In the past three months, new studies have been published about killer whales, wandering albatross and trumpeter swans—all of which appear to be benefiting from climate change. Melting ice is turning the Arctic Sea into a...

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer invited documentarian John Ziegler on her program Wednesday, and got into quite a battle with him over why Sarah Palin should have been at all insulted by David Letterman saying she dresses like a "slutty flight attendant" and her daughter was recently "knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez" during a Yankee game. Brewer actually didn't think there was anything wrong with Letterman making such comments. Even better, as the scrum continued, and Ziegler claimed Palin had more class than most people on MSNBC, Brewer got insulted, and called to her producer, "Cut the mike, please" (video embedded below the...

There is something unsettling and very familiar in the Obama poster campaign which has plastered his image over the country. The posters depict the same graphic closeup of the candidate with one block word either "Hope," "Change" or "Progress" at the bottom. I knew that I had seen this before, and then it came to me that this image appropriates the graphic style of totalitarian Soviet propaganda. It recalls the idealzed portraits and personality cult of the "Beloved Leader" such as Stalin and Lenin. The leader, face illuminated by a "holy" light, looks off to the horizon and sees the...

On August 30th, the United Methodist Church will start a four-week, $4 million effort to market its church. In order to make sure they don’t waste their money, “they're turning to those who know how to sell cars, houses, and other commercial products.” It’s part of a trend. “The church in more ways than not is mirroring Wall Street and the world and Madison Avenue," said a representative of Focus on the Family. "We're [lagging] behind them to a certain degree,...
