Known for his insightful take on politics, journalist and author Thomas Wictor believes Judge Roy Moore’s signature in Gloria Allred accuser Beverly Young Nelson’s yearbook is a forgery. The sevens in 1977 to the right of “Christmas,†are very different from the sevens in the date (12-22-77) above “Old Hickory House.†“Look at the two versions of the number “7,†tweeted Wictor. “â€12-22-77†and “Olde Hickory House†were written by a different person,†he added. Next, Wictor points out “the “R†and “y†in “Roy,â€â€ are not written the same way.  The inflection of the “Y†is more pronounced in...

You may remember the story of a New Jersey high school that came under fire after President Trump's campaign logo and slogan were digitally removed from two students' yearbook photos and another student's quote from the president was also excluded. The students complained about Wall Township High School's censorship, which led to an outpouring of support - including from the president himself - and the eventual suspension of the school's yearbook club adviser. 200 copies of the yearbook were reissued with the photos and quote intact, at a cost of $10,000. Now, it's been revealed that the father of one...

WALL -- Wall Township High School will print corrected yearbooks for every student after a photo was intentionally manipulated to cover up a junior's Donald Trump T-shirt, according to the district. The new yearbook should arrive within two weeks, she wrote. "I cannot allow the intentional change that was not based on dress code to be ignored," Dyer wrote. A New Jersey high school has come under criticism for digitally removing Donald Trump logos from two students' yearbook photos and removed a quote by Trump set to appear under the freshman class president's photo. Wall Township High School junior Grant Berardo was disappointed to see that the "Trump: Make America Great Again" text on his shirt was no longer there; the logo was there in the photo proofs in November, according to a report from CNN. "He was disappointed. This was the first election he has been interested in," Berardo's father said. He wants the yearbooks reissued and an...

A New Jersey school district is investigating why the yearbook photos of two high school students were altered to remove President Donald Trump’s name on clothing they wore. The Wall Township district also is probing why a Trump quote submitted by the freshman class president wasn’t included under her photo while a quote by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt appeared under the senior class president’s photo. One student wore a sweater vest with Trump’s name on it; another student wore a T-shirt emblazoned with the words “Trump Make America Great Again.” But neither feature appeared in the photos published in the...

The mother of a Foxborough High School student says a photo of her daughter with an American flag was rejected by the school for being "offensive." In a widely shared Facebook post, Lisa Truax wrote that the Red Wing Diner, which employs her daughter, purchased a page in the school yearbook to congratulate her. The photo shows her daughter posing in front of a draped American flag. "Does anyone find this photo offensive? Apparently Foxboro High School finds it offensive," Truax wrote. "They won't allow the picture in the yearbook because it's the American flag. We are American! We live...

Dale Irby of Garland, Texas, did not mean to start a 40-year tradition when he wore a coffee-colored wool sweater vest over a polyester shirt for a yearbook photo in 1973. The first-year teacher, now 63, simply pulled the in-fashion-at-the-time clothing from his closet on picture day. Then the next year, his second as a teacher in the Dallas Independent School District, he did it again, by chance.

FULL TITLE: Yearbook ruined after girl's name is replaced with slanderous caption in high school cheerleading squad photo Someone with a bone to pick with a girl in a cheerleading squad photo somehow managed to get her name replaced with a sexually offensive insult in her high school yearbook. Administrators at Irving High School in Irving, Texas are currently investigating how one of the captioned names in its cheerleading squad photo wound up saying ‘UGLY HOE’ instead of the student’s name. The yearbook went to print and was in the process of being distributed when the offensive language was discovered....

Mooresville, NC -- We have altered this picture from Lake Norman High School's yearbook...so you can't see the young woman's face...or the area, causing so much controversy. The school district says the girl was 18-years-old. She's sitting with last year's graduating class...smiling, dressed in her cap and gown and her legs are open. One mom, who didn't want her face shown, says she believes the student is exposing her genitals on purpose. "When it was brought to my attention from my child that, was the first thing. I was appalled! I was like, 'oh my God, this is exactly what...

Lots of candidates have embarrassing things in their past that they'd hate to have flare up in the middle of a presidential campaign. I think we can safely conclude that we have found Rick Santorum's! At the right, cast your eyes upon the tragedy that is Santorum's high school year book photo--specifically, Carmel High School in Mundelein, Illinois, in 1976. (The picture is from Chris Good's compilation of high school year book photos of the 2012 Republican presidential candidates--it's not pretty, although I recommend clicking through.) A quick office straw poll here at The Atlantic, conducted amidst uproarious laughter,...

Colorado-based Durango High School has now agreed to include the "revealing" photo of a high school senior in the yearbook after initially refusing to do so. The school officials had earlier refused to publish the controversial photo of Sydney Spies, calling it inappropriate. The officials told Spies that she had violated the school’s dress code by wearing a short yellow skirt and a black shawl as the top.

A Colorado teenager whose yearbook picture was rejected for being too revealing is vowing to fight the ban with her high school’s administration, but the editors of the yearbook insist it was their decision alone on the photo. The five student editors of the Durango High School yearbook in Durango, Col., told the Durango Herald they were the ones who made the call not to publish a picture of senior Sydney Spies posing in a short yellow skirt midriff and shoulder-exposing black shawl as her senior portrait. “We are an award-winning yearbook. We don’t want to diminish the quality with...

A quasi-scandal has broken out at Arkansas’ Russellville Middle School. The school’s yearbook featured a list of the “Top 5 Worst People of All Time.” Some of the world’s most horrific murderers and maniacs were included: Adolph Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Charles Manson… Few people would argue that these individuals don’t deserve a spot on that roster. Each went on murderous rampages and were, arguably, mentally-imbalanced. However, it‘s the list’s last two names that are causing a stir: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The former president and vice-president don’t seem to share many characteristics with the other men they...

Wallingford, Connecticut (WTNH) - An annual year-end tradition is tarnished for seniors at a school in Wallingford. At a time of year when most high school seniors are signing each other's yearbooks, students at Sheehan High School are turning them back in and wondering when they'll get them back. The Wallingford School District has recalled them after a comment printed in the book came to their attention. Amber Schumacher, of Wallingford, explained, "There was a saying under the 'I remember' section that had been put in there, and the parent of the child who the saying was about -- I'm...
