It appears that California has about 10,000 extra megawatts lined up for this afternoon than they expect to need. This isn't even going to be a close call.

You're right, there seem to be reserves. SO, why the warning? Perhaps the reserves graph that can be seen as the green line on http://www.caiso.com/SystemStatus.html assumes the availability of those out-of-State supplies that are being diverted?

I saw that and there are indeed storm clouds on the horizon. While half of me does not want to see unecessary suffering by innocent citizens and businesses, the other half wants quite strongly to see accountability and the end of Grayout's political career. He is too corrupt to be allowed this or higher office...

Trying to remember if I left the belt sander and the table saw running before I left this morning.
