Sacramento -- The state's disputed contract with Oracle Corp. could cost taxpayers several million dollars for technical support and software that nearly 100 state agencies have already used.

Gov. Gray Davis had promised that taxpayers would not have to pay "an additional penny" as the state works to rescind the deal. But state agencies have been using Oracle database software, a toll-free support desk and free upgrades for the past year, and the Redwood City company must be paid for its services.

They said state negotiators let Logicon help write internal Davis administration documents vetting and analyzing the contract, even though Logicon was pitching the deal. "The governor feels that the way the contract was made is the problem," said Davis spokesman Steve Maviglio. "The software was good and the contract may be fine, but the manner in which it was crafted certainly deserves scrutiny."

and who's fault is this??? Time to Dump "Dim Watt" Davis

Thanks Pokey!

So when did the state employees actually open the Whoreacle packages?

An earlier March audit showed that most of the software packages had not even been opened.

So did the CHP and other current non law agencies which had been law agencies before Davis go in and open these Whoracle DB packages?

Two more questions on this:

1. Have those databases even been installed after being opened?

2. After they were installed, have they actually been used in any real work or were they used to run a few of the sample DB's included with each package?

DUMP DAVIS! HE AND HIS QUISLINGS SMELL LIKE ROTTEN FISH!

You are right on target here: They said state negotiators let Logicon help write internal Davis administration documents vetting and analyzing the contract, even though Logicon was pitching the deal. "The governor feels that the way the contract was made is the problem," said Davis spokesman Steve Maviglio. "The software was good and the contract may be fine, but the manner in which it was crafted certainly deserves scrutiny."

How much did Logicon Pimps donate to Herr Davis? I believe that is was $50,000!

It was obvious that none of the state's crack DB workers could even write a spec/order justification sheet to justify the purchase of the Whoreacle DB packages.

Howmuch was LogiCon paid to write up these spec sheets? Where they paid with part of that 23 billion $ deficit that Fascist Davis has engineered for us?

Why not pass a California law that database vendors cannot charge more than their 1998 prices for software and services? That worked well for the electricity problems.

I would categorize your post #5 as the $95 million questions. Posing these
questions to a slippery politican is more elucidating than their slimy answers.

Gitmo, lets really follow the phoney deregging socialis/communist approach to business that was used in Kali's great deregging deal.

Make Whoreacle and others sell their programs to the State well below what it costs for each program.

It only took a few months of this anti business scheme to drive PG&E into bankruptcy. PG&E could not charge us for the actual costs of electricity that they purchased. The commies/socialists who did the anti business deregging put that poison pill into the deregging scheme.

If companies could only sell their products/services at a loss to California, that would immediately eliminate all of these awful bribe situations. No company would ever do business with the state of Kali again, and there would be no bribes to get the business since they wouldn't want the business.

...there is an expectation that we will be paid for our software and services"

I seem to recall PG&E saying that about the electricity and services they provided.

Yeah, can you imagine the audacity of PG&E saying that they will be paid for the electricity that they bought at X and then were forced to sell it to us way below their costs!

They should have just bribed Davis and gone bankrupt!

How dare a corporation or individually owned company to even attempt to make a profit in Kali.

So winning a contract with Kalifornia is the business equivalent to getting a kiss by the Godfather?

LOL! You Miiiiight want to look into their books a little bit and learn the difference between PG&E "The Distribution Company", and PG&E "The Corporation". Hint: One purchases and distributes electricity, and the other takes all profits immediately from the afore mentioned business entity, and leaves little float.
PG&E is not the victim you make them out to be, unless they're a victim of record profits during the "California Energy Crisis"(TM*).

* (TM) would be Texas Mark :)

At least when a Mafia GodFather kisses you, you get a Kiss.

I know of a young man who is the lead N. Kali, project manager for a Kali based heavy duty construction company. When they made him in charge of the N. Kali business, he told his CEO and board that he had reveiwed their contracts with the State of Kali for about 6 months. They had lost money on every project due to the regulations that was over bearing. He advised them to never enter into any contract with Kali unless he wrote the specs, and it was an actual cost plus basis. They listened to him as his data was alarming and some contracts even when finished were costing them money. Money that had to come from other projects.

Last year was this company's first Kali free year. They had the best profits they ever had with less headaches and happier employees who didn't have to deal with the civil service rats of Kali.

This is why companies like Whoreacle bribe Davis and our AG and ?. That way they can be the Fascist Poster Company with their product/service. They can make whatever profit they can make as long as they share it with Davis and the other rats.

I would think that anybody doing business with the state of California would consider being paid in advance. Fly-by-night operation.
