Although I too would like to see Bush go back to Washington for image purposes, he should at least address the nation from whatever military base he choses and just say that he is consulting with the top military leaders to ensure that appropriate steps are being taken to deal with the situation. He should do this because the media is portraying him as someone who is running and failing to lead. Image is everything.

Ain't no mountains in Omaha. The Command Post is under what used to be SAC HQ. I worked there for a year. It's not a hardened site like NORAD at Cheyenne Mtn.
