This woman's problems would have been over almost a year ago if he had issued an EO to re-hire her...
I'm sorry, but nothing this woman could have done for us could ever be worth 100 grand a year. Nothing. I think they should look at other positions and drop the axe. This is an absurd amount to make for what they do.

Thanks for the stroke.

When that plane struck the Pentagon, I thought of Linda Tripp and whether or not she would have been in that part of the complex had she kept her job.
Anybody know if her Dept. was anywhere near it?

Tripp, who now lives in Middleburg, Va., had hoped to find another government job . . .Tripp earned nearly $100,000 a year as a public affairs specialist . . .
With all due respect to Ms. Tripp, these two statements say more than anything else. If she can't earn even $50,000 in the private sector, then she has no business complaining about losing her government job.
To: D Joyce
She got a promotion to the DOJ and a bigger salary; she was a secretary in the White House West Wing.

It's a sad day on Free Republic when Linda Tripp gets flamed mercilessly for being broke. Y'all are sick.

She hasn't lived in the house for a long time. Why not sell it? I just don't understand this. Do you?
To: kristinn
BTW, I was flaming the government ;-)

Dude, you're taking this idol worship thing a bit too far..
In case you haven't noticed, there is true suffering, and sacrifice taking place as we speak that is beyond compare.

Yeah, but that's an argument for killing the job. After all, SOMEBODY's going to have it. Might as well be Linda. I'm just 100% on board with whistleblower laws, and I don't care that the whistleblower was underworked and overpaid.
