I, for one, just contributed.

The reason she probably can't get a job is that the liberals continue to strike revenge for bringing Klinton to his knees.  Mention her name to a liberal and just watch them spew.  That's worth a few bucks by itself.

I have some great fun pointing out to liberals that if they come to me and ask me to break the law.  Even if they profess to be my friend, they're going to jail.  Sex or not.  And if they threaten me or my family, they just got an enemy for life who will stop at nothing to seek retribution. (For some reason, I seem to lose more liberal 'friends' that way).

I forcefully point out that Klinton was getting a BJ while talking troop deployments.  I love watching a liberal defend that these days.

If nothing else, she was the reason Klinton couldn't advance his agenda for more than 2 years.  She was the main element in branding the stain that shall forever grace his Presidency (excuse me that's presidency with a small "p").

Now, members of this board sit and bicker about helping someone who did something and MADE A DIFFERENCE.  Shame on us all.

And regarding her government salary, I have yet to meet anyone who will turn down more money from a job.  The problem is the government; not Linda Tripp.

I believe the government give her a pension for life, after all, she accomplished more for us all than many of them will ever do.  She gave us the proof on Bill Klinton.

Freepers seem to keep up with who our enemies are; we should also remember our friends.

This is what happens to Fed. Whitle Blowers. Clinton and Bush are both responsible for the retribution on Linda Tripp. They want to send out the word, it does not pay to squeal on the upper politicans.

It was good of Tripp to expose the corruption.

Too many in gov't, Tripp included, are paid WAY too much !

If you lose your high-paying job, you find another, or take employment at the best lower pay you can find; sitting around whining and wishing for another high paid gov't job is BS.If all she could find was a $25K job, then she should have taken it!!

If Tripp is really good enough to earn $100k at the gov't in public relations, you would think some private concern would hire her , UNLESS they are afraid of her releasing details of the corrupt business practices.

There are military families surviving on food stamps, while living in poverty inside base housing that was built in the '20's, while one of their family members is making the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan (or wherever).

Did anyone see the family (on TV) who sold there home because they couldn't afford it any longer. The husband/father had been called to active duty in the reserves, and they can't survive on the pay. They are too proud to seek assistance from the govenment, and decided to sell instead.

Linda is losing her second home because she can't nail down a $100K job. Sorry, but we should keep things in perspective...

I believe Linda does not own the home in Virginia but is stayign there to avoid the public limelight. I I recall correctly, the home in Columbia, MD (a few miles from my home) is the only home she owns.

That makes sense, but I wonder if the "public limelight" thingy is something of her own grand design.

Are Clinton's people wanting to give her a tour of Fort Marcy park ?

I sent Linda Tripp money for attorneys fees but this is crazy. The mortage payment on a 116,000 loan at todays rates is no big deal. I know because my son in law earns conseiderably less than a 100K a year yet manages to support his family of 5 and pay his mortgage.

She needs to get on with life.

Linda Tripp sadly will join the many who were exploited and used by others and then abandoned when they were no longer of use. Where is Lucianne, Isikoff, Coulter, the Jones Attorneys, Ken Starr, or any Republican member of Congress now? Whether you liked or disliked Linda Tripp her abandonment is truly dispicable. Encouraged by the likes of the Goldbergs and Isikoff she exposed herself criminally and suffered the consequences. While Lucianne has become a folk-hero to many, and several others have written bestselling books Tripp has received little from those who used her.

It is easy to fault Tripp. She should have questioned the motives of those who seemed extraordinarily anxious to entrap Lewinsky and Clinton. However, this is no excuse from those who failed her. She now can join the likes of Monica and Julie Steele who find themselves devastated financially by the events of 1998.

Tripp's story is a sad saga of those who believe that the means justify the ends only to find out the King was right that the means are inherent within the ends. She sought by illegal means to entrap and ultimately betraying a friend for the purpose of undermining the Presidency of the United States. She did this partly out of her own greed (the promised "book deal" that never really materialized) and partly at the request of people (Lucianne, Isikoff etc.) who had their own dubious agendas. When they were done with her and she was no longer of use but a liability they ditched her pronto. (Did anybody notice that Lucianne was never asked to testify before Starr's Grand Jury.) At the end Tripp was a person more to be pitied rather than scorned. Ironically she got her wish Clinton did leave office and that caused her job current unemployment (be carefull what you wish for).

Broke? If I was living in Middleburg, VA (nice place, BTW) and had an empty house in Maryland, I wouldn't consider myself broke...

Monica Lewinsky is alive because of Linda Tripp, the tapes and advising her for saving the stained dress made by the great stain maker, William Blyth Clinton.

Monica owes Linda her life.

Clinton surely would have had her killed in an accident like the many he had killed in Arkansas

Making the suggestion that Linda should go on with her life should not be considered "trashing" her.

I really don't think at this juncture, she qualifies for martyr status...

I think they should look at other positions and drop the axe. This is an absurd amount to make for what they do.

Hasn't the Republican Party been promising to do this for decades? Are there fewer "workers" in D.C. than there used to be? Is the Federal government (or ANY government, for that matter) budget smaller than it used to be?

And Republicans wonder why OldBob Dole didn't get elected easily.

I gave her legal fund $100 for her birthday.

Only trouble is the legal fund pays her lawyers, it won't help get her house back.

Linda Tripp should have the gracious thanks of a nation. That's not hero worship, it's what's right.

I was not referring to your comments. I just think it is sad that Linda got used and abused. Yes, in the heat of the battle, she may have made some wrong decisions, but she doesn't deserve the mess she is in, now.
