Is there an age restriction? I mean the poodle's nine. My Lhasa's almost four, but a very conserative dog, ya know.

Just watch, they'll fry this guy. Only Democrats can commit election fraud.

"We try to make it a very simple process," Balch said, calling California's voter registration an honor system."

And there's the problem - and now that the DEMs know this, every living thing in the state will now become a registered DemocRAT. Even (especially?) the redwoods.

He does have a good point for showing some type of citizenship ID before voting. Imagine how many lefties are doing this? They're the experts in voter fraud!
Hope the guy gets off. Someone had to do it.
Bless this man.

ROTFL! This is a great story. "I've never heard of this happening before" "We're on the honor system in California" hahahaha! Yeah, right!

I happen to be a registered Republican in California, and it IS very easy to register. When I moved, I called the registrar's office to ask about re-registering. Oh, nothing to it. They sent me a form to fill out, sign, and send back. I asked if I needed to provide any documentation, such as proof of residency, or proof of citizenship. Oh, no, that won't be necessary. I had to show more proof than that to get my library card - they wanted to see a utility bill with my name on it to prove I lived in the county, since it was a county library. Unbelievable.

Do you think red flags would be raised if my dogs, "Rightfully Impeached" (aka Peach) and "Dubya B. Rowdy," turned in registrations? We could use more pubbie votes in Virginia these days.

"We try to make it a very simple process,"

I've told this story before on FR.

I have a good friend who lives in San Francisco and he registered by mail as a Republican. He never got his card in the mail. He registered again as a Republican - never got a card. Registered a THIRD time as a Republican - still no card.

He then registered as a Democrat and had his card in six days.

I am never asked for ID when I go vote - I just show them the card with my name and address on it that is mailed with the sample ballot.

I used to be a registered republican in California (Alameda Cty) and the first time I voted they had a difficult time locating a GOP ballot. I thought it was funny at the time, but I am starting to wonder...

JUROR 1: Woof! Woof! Grrrrrrrrrr.

Hubby and I live in Contra Costa County, and there are a few more republicans in the central county than in Alameda. They didn't have any trouble finding a GOP ballot for us on primary night. Although the sour-looking older man at the table with the register looked even more sour when he announced "Republican" to the man next to him, who was handing out the ballots! I smiled sweetly. I don't think he liked that, either...
