The DC Chapter of Free Republic and Rally For America are pleased to announce The Patriots Rally for America to be held in Washington, D.C. on April 20, 2002 at the Washington Monument.
The rally will be held on the northwest quadrant of the Washington Monument grounds near the intersection of 17th Street, N.W. and Constitution Avenue, N.W.
FReepers, lurkers and patriots from across the country plan on attending, are putting out the word via e-mail and posts to Internet forums and offering more moral and financial support (we still need more of the later to cover expenses) than any one cause should deserve. For this, we are most appreciative.
We are now down to the wire - full speed ahead and need you guys to help us make the final push to ensure this is the definitive rally of 2002. As many of you are well aware, the anti-American crowd will be out there that day and we are asking you to help us send a simple, but very important, message across America - this is our country and no one pushes us around on our home court.
Confirmed speakers (in alphabetical order) include:
Patriotic and topical music will set the tone of this most extraordinary rally - please plan on attending. Music starts at 10:00 a.m. and the formal rally at 11:00 - expected end time is around 3:00 p.m. The rally will be held rain or shine.
What to bring:
U.S. Flags - the more the better - Gadsden Flags - ditto - Signs, signs and more signs with large lettering supporting what we hold dear.
This will be a great opportunity to peacefully counter the anti-war rally and march being held the same day in other areas of D.C. by the usual collection of America-hating communist/leftist/anarchist groups.
The Patriots Rally for America will provide an opportunity for all those who love our country to stand up publicly for America and to support our troops as they fight the war on terrorism.

The Bataan amphibious ready group and its roughly 1,860 sailors will return to Norfolk Saturday after a record-setting, seven-month deployment. The ready group -- the amphibious assault ship Bataan, the amphibious transport dock Shreveport, and the dock landing ship Whidbey Island -- spent nearly four months of the deployment in the Arabian Sea, off the coast of Pakistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The ready group deployed Sept. 19.
