The Growth chart that your pediatrician uses. Does it cover breast fed babies? Because the normal growth rate charts until recently have been based on the weight gains of formula fed babies. It is most definately true that babies and children who are fed cows milk gain weight faster than those who are not. So the chart is not evidence of anything generally.

I have experience in this regard given that my daughter was breast fed for 3 years. We do not eschew cows milk but families we know who do have children who do not fall into the "normal" categories. One such family had their children removed because a doctor was appalled that the family didn't serve cows milk to their children. It was 6 months before the woman got her kids back and they were returned with health problems due to the fact that the foster family disregarded the children's normal diets. It was relatively simple to find a doctor who would demolish the pediatrician's faulty advice and actions but the government doesn't work so fast.

Let's see the photo. Have you ever seen it? I'll dig up at least one link of an expert who claims it was faked. Give me a bit.

My daughter is 4 years old, was breast-fed for the first 18 months of her life, and weighs over 40 pounds. Try another tack.

The children's "5th amendment rights" weren't "violated" as you falsely asserted.

They absolutely were. Unless the children have committed crimes, the police have no probable cause to speak with them. They do not have to incriminate their family and are not required to testify against their father. They have no idea that they have a right to remain silent and Dan Evans did not inform them of their rights. And they also filed no complaints with the police. Thus any notion that the police had a right to speak with them is false. And leading questions such as "did your daddy give you a boo boo?" are most certainly not appropriate.

Does your daughter eat meat and cows milk? Perhaps you should try another tack.

Supplying a dictionary definition for an unrelated word is NOT supplying context. You should be able to prepare a grammatically correct post, consisting of complete sentences and paragraphs, that attempts to make a point and offers specific evidence to support that point.

Does your daughter eat meat and cows milk?

No red meat; the meat and milk she does consume are hormone-free. A family near us is strictly vegetarian; their children weighed more than 25 pounds at age 5.

This is an example of what I'm telling you--are you saying that witches from Salem (presumably Salem, Oregon) are burning Christians, and that said activity is funny?

you didn't know?

No, I didn't.

Again, I fail to see the relevance of your post to the topic under discussion.

"Pulling it all together, what we have right here in our... own country---are all of the ingredients necessary for a totalitarian police state. We have a federal government that nobody in his right mind would trust, which lies to us incessantly, uses illegal force against its citizens with impunity, and collaborates with totalitarian dictators under cover of a massive propaganda campaign conducted by our supposedly free press. Our major information media are dominated by closet totalitarians who pay lip service to democracy while covertly promoting the interests of communist despots. The political opposition is made up largely of cowards who are so intimidated by our totalitarian propaganda media they are unable to offer effective resistance to even the most egregious violations of civil liberties by the corrupt Clinton regime. They have become, in the fullest sense of the term, Weimar Republicans. And finally, we have that which makes it all possible, a listless, docile, dumbed-down public who gape mindlessly at all of the above phenomena without the slightest glimmer of comprehension, and prattle the latest propaganda cliches dumped into their empty heads by the mainstream media."

"The Elian affair has truly given us a glimpse into the abyss of tyranny. The message that comes through loud and clear is that the system isn't working. The question that remains to be answered is whether we still possess the intelligence and fortitude necessary to fix it."

OK, so you're now referencing the Elian affair. Again, your post doesn't make a blip on the radar scope of relevance.

How about the FACTS of this case, and the items under contention in the here and now?

Sorry I didn't get back as soon as I wanted. It looks as if the argument went on without me though.
You say that the kids were "starving," that they were malnourished, abused, etc. Where do you get your evidence? The State, in its claims against the Christines, have said all that and more, but the proof of those claims is still to be shown. That's what is supposed to happen at this trial.
As I said earlier, if you have information that the rest of us are not privy to, please tell us what it is and where you found it. The Cristines may well be abusive parents but the State has resorted to trying them in the press - a tactic usually used to cover the States' a$$ when they've blown a case.
I hope you're not automatically assuming that everything the news media has reported is true.

So far, the defense has been limited to (a) trying to wage a "choice of evils" defense (this was shot down) and (b) trying to keep damning evidence out of the trial for hypertechnical reasons (also shot down).
