Question for Palinistas. What will you say when...
vanity | 1-8-10 | Bob J

Posted on 01/08/2010 2:07:44 PM PST by Bob J

...Palin endorses John McCain?

Top ten...

1) She's just "playing the game". Standing on principle and voting the RINO's out is fine as long as it doesn't interfere with Sarah becoming prez.

2) If Sarah says supporting RINO's is okay, that's good enough for me. The Messiah is infallible and what do I know?.

3) She's not being inconsistent, she's making a tactical retreat, but hey that's politics.

4) A smart move by the smartest woman in the world.

5) She didn't want to but the dims threatened to file an ethics complaint if she didn't.

6) She's not quiting, she's reloading.

7) What endorsement? That wasn't an endorsement she was repaying a political favor. Everyone does it.

8) That was part of her master plan to make dims and the MSM fear her even more...if that's even possible.

9) C'mon, McCain wasn't THAT bad...

10) Who cares? Look at those LEGS!

Again, can you point out the Palin hatred?

Well starting out creating a thread calling Palin’s supporters Palinistas is a good start. Posting a picture of the Jim Jones Cult death scene in a response to asking what's wrong with being a supporter of her is another. And then there's the rest of your recent posting history...

Sarah is unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun, pro-limited government and so am I. And she’s wildly popular among the God-loving, Liberty-loving folks with whom I choose to associate. In short, she’s a refreshing breath of clean fresh air in an otherwise putrid failure of a RINO infested party.

All of the things that I admire as well and what's most important to me, she walks the walk. One word comes to my mind about her; resolute.

I'm sorry, but I've never been much of a Palin supporter. After all, IMO, if she's good enough for Juan McCain, she is NOT good enough for me.

No offense, but you're completely ignorant as to how American presidential elections work. With rare exception, running mates are picked to fill gaps in experience, appeal to voting blocks that aren't covered, bolster a campaign theme or provide regional balance/get a swing state in the bag (or some combination of them)`, NOT because the big guy and the veep are in love with each other's policy positions. That's why Barack "No experience" Obama picked a guy who had been in the Senate since before Watergate (fill gaps) and McCain picked someone who would appeal to the base and reinforce the "Maverick reformer" theme.

I voted for Pastor Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party after Rep. Paul lost the nomination.

As a veteran and the father of a future Air Force officer, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the sober and thoughtful way you have associated being a conservative with helping out an inept commander-in-chief. Oh, and thanks for Janet Napolitano! Thanks, I

Amazing how many people think that helping an inept commander-in-chief get elected in a time of war is the conservative thing to do.

Bush and McCain are two birds of a feather. If you can’t see that, YOU are the one that is clueless.

McCain is an absolute phuckwit, he is to conservatives what a turd in a punch bowl is to a wedding reception.

I’m pinging Rabscuttle385 to this thread, he can give you a real education on why McCain should be condemned and shunned by any thinking conservative, now and forevermore.

Rabs?

See if you can wise this guy up.

Can you tell me exactly how I've been “out of line”?... My guess you have a lot to learn about BEING A FREEPER. True FReepersWe don't shut up or go with the flow just because it conflicts with the herd....This website needs people like me

The founder, owner of this website, the heart of this crew, as it were, has told you to rein it in. that means that either you are a better judge of what a Freeper is and does than JimRob is, or you are off in the weeds and he's trying to call you back.

I'd say option two is more likely by far. What do you think?

Ardent Palin supporters (Palinistas) need to get over characterizing any criticism of Sarah as “Palin hatred”. Seriously, it’s infantile.

You get real sloppy with your generalizations Bob. And then you complain when you get grief from those you offend.

Certainly not all "ardent" Palin supports characterize all criticism of Sarah as "Palin hatred". I would guess most don't.

Perhaps you don't understand what you are doing with your generalizations.

Once again, just a little friendly advice.

I haven’t heard Palin discuss whether or not she has an Originalist view of the Constitution

I'm less than 100 pages into her book, and so far she hasd mentioned several times how the American and Alaskan constitutions interpreted as the writers intended were the guide for all her views about government functions.

I was more taking to task Bob J for insulting Freepers who like Palin.

I didn't realize that, Paradox. My apologies for taking your post out of context.

"Infantile" is putting it very mildly.

Another one.

Sure, she sounds good on a few issues, & I think she’s a patriot...but what would she do about advocating the elimination of federal dept’s & buraucracies that voilate the Constitution?

Here's the worst case scenario: If she favored leaving them in place, she would then hold the same view as every other politician with any chance of becoming President.

How seriously would she enforce the 10th Amendment?

At least as seriously as any other politician with any chance of becoming President.

Would she support having a non-interventionist foreign policy that the Founding Fathers believed in, or would she continue to use our military to fight wars all over the globe rather than defending America first?

I wonder if she supported the 2001 Military Authorization (which didn't declare war, give Congress any say in where a war or wars would be fought, name a country we would take action against or even mention Al Qaida) as Ron Paul did.

I don’t know much about Ft. Worth, I’ve only been there
once and that was about twenty years ago when I was a
sales rep dependent upon my charming personality for a living.

I remember thinking it was pretty ugly.

If I remember correctly, the State Fair is there but not much else.

San Antonio is fun, so is Austin if you can overlook the libs.

Houston.. I’m torn. I lived there for several decades and am indifferent to its charms.

Cheney.

Oh my! You bitch and moan at Palin supporters for not realizing as you do that's she's not ready for the White House, but your preferred candidate is a guy who probably couldn't get elected and would likely die in office if he did! I think Cheney would be a great President, but if you boost him you should probably include a running mate so we'll know who you want to be President when Dick has the final grabber.
