President Not Moore Valuable?
The Radio Equalizer ^ | May 20, 2005 | Brian Maloney

Liberal organizations and bloggers are in overdrive, after nationally syndicated, conservative talk show host Glenn Beck was said to have threatened Michael Moore's life. It's sparked a write-in and telephone campaign to get Beck off the air, via his syndicator, complaints to the FCC and calls for his arrest.

Don't these lefties have a very selective sense of outrage?

Here's what Media Matters, a leftist site, claims Beck said on May 17:

one question (since I dont listen to Glenn Beck). Did he say it? Let's not confuse the issue with whether or not the other side said it too. He is just as wrong for saying to them as they were in the first place....

What happened to it was just a joke and/or only satire? And didn't the left say that Republicans needed a humor transplant after the incident with the President (who actually is in a position of power and is not some delusional wannabe)?

While I can't say that I approve of this language, it's no worse that about a million sketches on Air America, etc. all directed at our nation's LEADER. It doesn't make Beck's comments any less silly, but if we aren't going to take the show that had a "pretend assassination" on air off I don't see how it's necessary to take Beck off the air.

How about a little Equal Protection for conservatives?

"Glenn Beck was said to have threatened Michael Moore's life."

Haven't O'Reilly and a few other been the target of that accusation too? Personally I think Moore should be watching for his next cheeseburger as a potential assassin.

Yes Glenn said it but it was part of a bit. He was discussing what he would do for $50 million and Moore came up in the conversation. This is just mre liberal drivel seeking to make something out of nothing. It's all they have left. The context MUST be considered in a quote. The liberal media has been doing this for years, why is it any surprise that they wouldn't do it in Beck's case?
