Is The Congressman Who Warned of Obama Dictatorship Really Crazy?
The Patriot Room ^ | November 11, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Here are a few more details about Obama's plan, which had Joseph Farah scratching his head. First is Obama's quote.

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Now, since I've never heard anyone inside or out of government use the phrase "civilian national security force" before, I was more than a little curious about what he has in mind. . . .

What does it mean?

If we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal? . . .

Are we talking about creating a police state here?

The U.S. Army alone has nearly 500,000 troops. That doesn't count reserves or National Guard. In 2007, the U.S. Defense budget was $439 billion.

Obama also has some very radical notions about disarming the population as well.

More . . .

I think you are naive. Best studies I have seen say that 30% of the enlisted personnel would not raise their weapons against American. That number goes way down if Chi-com military techniques go into effect and you bet they will.

If you are a rebel and have been hyped as such the chance the military will wax your a$$ goes way up. Officers will lake orders for the most part. The only hope is ex military who will want to help the “rebels”.

nice to see these comments picked up by the MSM... maybe now that the election is behind us we can get some objective journalism.

this congressman is stating facts and placing them in historical context. Draw whatever conclusions you will, but I suspect that similar concerns were uttered in the early 1930s in Germany. One does not equate to the other, but to ignore history and any parallels that might be drawn is nieve.

Don't forget history;

Night of the Long Knives

The Night of the Long Knives (German: Nacht der langen Messer (help·info)) or "Operation Hummingbird", was a purge that took place in Nazi Germany between June 30 and July 2, 1934, when the Nazi regime carried out a series of political executions, most of those killed being members of the Sturmabteilung (SA), a Nazi paramilitary organization. Adolf Hitler moved against the SA and its leader, Ernst Röhm, because he saw the independence of the SA and the penchant of its members for street violence as a direct threat to his power.

Broun will not lose his seat. His district is safe unless someone redraws the lines. His approval rating just went up 10 points or better with those remarks. Dr. Broun, who I don’t particularly like, just said what the folks in the 10th district have been saying or thinking for the last few weeks. When I saw the headline on Drudge I had a feeling it was my congressman that had said it.

I hate to suggest a Republican’s worst nightmare...but Pelosi might be the one thing in the way of a Obama dictatorship

I said the same thing last week.

Disarm the population, create a police state.

Yep, sounds like a dictatorship to me!

So who is the more Marxist Marxist..Pelosi or Obama or Reid? I say Obama is the irrelevant front man. The knife man would be part of his cabinet. Marxists always eliminate less Marxist Marxists. ex_KGB elaborates.. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k6KUDv1wzraWhwlBt1

I had an argument yesterday with my Republican friend that said that community service for the ungrateful children in this country would be a GOOD thing.

I agreed that alot of children are ungrateful and spoiled, but I had a problem with the government requiring servitude from our children.

We went back and forth and decided we are polar opposites on this issue.

It has to be Brownshirts. The military is for use on non-US citizens, so who would he be using the "Civilian National Security Force" against? You and I, that's who. Nice way to sidestep that little thing called Posse Comitatus.

As a coworker who escaped communist Vietnam told me, every dictator has to start with a paramilitary force loyal to them above all others. Once he has that, then he can advance the rest of his fascist agenda.

“Since he has no plans on using them to secure the border and no plans to send them overseas, that leaves only American streets for his “security force” to secure.”

Our military is politically conservative and thereby can not be counted on to support Obama’s Gun Grab which will take place during his second term. Thus, the need for a para-military organization that will be loyal to “him” only. Then, once all privately owned guns have been collected he can easily declare that do to “circumstances”, whatever that may mean at the time, he has found it necessary to declare himself President for a third time. Of course, due to the crisis, probably civil unrest, elections will be suspended as well. Lots of interesting times ahead...

The parents should require the “servitude”...the government needs to stay out of our families decisions. We don't need a leash...we are not dogs.

get some popcorn

Pelosi hasn't ever had to deal with true committed marxist radicals, racist extremists drunk with power, and Chicago street thugs, aligned.

Come January if not sooner, Stretch and Dingy will find out what happens when thugs bring guns to their congressional rules “knife” fights.

I predict their “seconds” on the dueling battlefield, who have always taken the shots for them, will quietly melt back into the landscape. I just hope the GOP votes “present” and lets the democrats implode as they actually have to govern in this enviromment they have created.

Nancy and Harry- should have been careful what they wished for. They have got it.

Behold, the messiah.
