Did the AARP Just Lie To Me?

Like every other week since my 50th birthday,in today's mail I received the envelope from AARP reminding me that I was getting on in years, and that soon I would want to be a member so I can get that discount from the local cinema.

Today's letter was different, it sparked me into action, not to join the group but to tell them to stop mailing me the letters as I could not join an organization the could support an anti-senior legislation like Obamacare.

The phone call started out very civilly, I pointed out that when the plan talked about limiting costs it was really talking about rationing, and I didn't understand how an organization that lobby's for seniors would publicly support a plan that will end up euthanizing seniors.The lady on the other end said, "Oh we don't support the whole plan, just three elements of the plan, closing the doughnut hole, no preconditions and affordable coverage."

"So Wait, does that mean the president is lying when he counts AARP as one of the Plan's supporters?" I asked. "no he isn't really lying, we support those three parts" she said as she avoided the question. So I asked her how could they allow the president to say that AARP was a supporter, did they issue a press release saying they only support those three points?

Folks we went on like this for another five minutes, the fact is, either AARP is lying about only supporting three of the points of the President's health care plan, or they are doing themselves a major disservice by protecting Obama and letting the President exaggerate their cooperation. Either way the group has sacrificed its membership to help the President:

Doctors won't kill you outright. Most are compassionate, caring and interested in your continued health. Your death, under the Obama plan, will come from a bureaucrat that prevents your doctor from treating you, and prescribing lifesaving medication that the bureaucrat deems to be too expensive.

I have been a conservative, probably closer to libertarian, for a long time, and have opposed the expansion of the government in many forms. I dropped AARP and demanded they take me off their email list when Bush touted the “free prescription program”. They keep sending their crap and I keep throwing it away.

Ive known this doctor for many years he was with us when my husband passed and is even a republican. He is not a fan of ozero but didnt seem that worried about obamacare. I always thought I could trust him I dont know what to think now.

I don't know, but have no trouble believing he's sincere. Bad ideas are always calculated to appear reasonable. Not everybody has a sense of the human capacity to be beguiled by what seems right.

another thing which puzzles me

If she was over there at an English school from America then before American students go to the UK they are told they have to pay for a insurance.
The school over here requires it to cover themselves I know this as my x girlfriend came from ME to London and stayed at a school for a white.

Plus you need an NHS number to get medical care from a family Doc(waiting list to see one) or get prescriptions and seeing as she is not a citizen of the country she will not have one.

You see the reason why you need that number is because the Doc or chemist(drug store) needs to bill the Govt and there is no way the Doc or chemist is going to not charge for the service they have just given.

I am very curious as to how you say she did all of this.
I see by your past comments you are interested on the health care or the fake global warming ...
