This came in the email after Dear Leader's town hall event on Obamacare in Bristol, Virginia:
Hey Gateway Pundit.
I attended the town hall event in Bristol,VA today. Though very few were allowed inside, there was an amazing turnout outside of people protest healthcare reform, among other things. I hope to send you pictures soon of some great signs I saw. It was expected that those in opposition to the bill would outnumber those in favor by 10-1, but I feel it was much, much more.
I do have a question I was hoping you could answer. During the motorcade when the president was arriving, there were several vehicles following the limo that contained the secret service. All of the vehicles had all the windows rolled down, and back hatch open on the SUVs with the men holding their, I assume assault rifes, machine guns, drawn on everyone lining the streets. Needless to say it took my breath away at the sight of them, and made my friends and I dizzy with fear. I have seen the secret service before, but never like this. While they were intimidating, I never felt in danger. The guns were not drawn when the motorcade was leaving the event. But I turned on a local talk radio program as we were leaving and all the calls were about witnessing the guns being pointed at them and nothing else until the end of the program.
Having said all that, my question is, is this normal protocol during such an event? It very well could be, but after I had to get over the shock of it, I began to feel offended. We were all there peaceful, and have no problems with Obama the man,

If I were there and had a camera, I believe I would have taken pictures to publish. This doesn’t sound normal @ all. We saw President Bush in a motorcade after 9-11 and this wasn’t done. :/
No. I've never seen a heavily armed Secret Service with guns pointed at crowds lining the streets for a motorcade.
Why would the US Secret Service point weapons at women and children lining a street to watch a presidential motorcade. What thing would make them fire right at that crowd?
and a large protest is supposed to put them at ease? please.
Nothing to worry about here....Zero is just preparing for his false-flag terror event to blame on Conservatives and I’m sure there will be some kind of “Washington massacre” in response to it.
Gov’t guns pointed at US citizens is just the norm for petty leftist dictators.
i WANT TO see photos of this. This is un called for. If the man had direct threats on his life, and you can be sure if he did he’s say so to shore up his falling poll numbers, that’s one thing. But we’d have heard about it.
I’ve never heard of secret service agents having guns drawn.
This scares and bothers me profoundly.
To everyone attending the protest in DC on September 12th. Be very careful and watch your backs.
If a large crowd were to rush a president, the most the secret service could hope to do is slow them down.
Of course, it could be the personal body guards of the Black Muslims onloan to the White House.
Never saw a single drawn firearm from any of the agents or Dallas PD. Even the sniffer dog was nice.
Perhaps Dear Leader is a bit nervous among the peasants?
When you are working a security detail and have your weapon at the ready, inevitably someone is going to have a gun pointed in their direction. The real question is, Did they have the weapon on safe and their finger alongside the trigger well? And where are the damning pictures of the sordid affair?

But you live in America. Why does a Presidential motorcade have to be scary?
I would be more concerned about Webb shooting into a crowd at random.
The man is a nutjob who has a friend carry his (webb’s) weapon into the capitol, and when the friend gets caught, Webb tosses him under the bus.
The SS did not reveal their guns at all. They kept them in small duffel bags.
I'm not surprised that Obammie the Commie instructs his protection to actually aim their guns at the people.
He is a fascist.
And fascism exploits violence and the threat of violence to instill fear.
And, of course, we know now, that Obammie the Commie is little more than King of the gangstas.

and do not let this post fool you. while i am sure you were able to see the stocks of the rifles (M-4's or MP-5's) up against their shoulders, i can almost guarantee the guns were not raised with the agents looking through the sights at protestors.
i have seen GWB's and Obama's motorcades and worked with secret service during their visits to my city. it's SOP.
it's both a show of force used as a deterrent and being at the ready in case an actual threat does arise.
