Long time Democratic Chicago Pol Monique Davis hasn't paid the rent for her offices since 2002. Apparently it doesn't matter either. After all, she's a Chicago Democrat and the rules real people have to live by don't apply to a Chicago Democrat.
And like a true Democrat Davis is blaming everyone else. It isn't her fault, you see. Remember the scene close to the end of the Blues Brothers where Jake Blues (John Belushi) was on his knees in the sewer pleading with Carrie Fisher not to kill him? Jake Blues told his jilted and angry lover, "I ran out of gas, I had a flat tire, I didn't have enough money for cab fare, my tux didn't come back from the cleaners, an old friend came in from out of town, someone stole my car, there was an earthquake, a terrible flood, locusts . it wasn't my fault I SWEAR TO GOD!" Yeah, it's just like that.

To be fair, she probably never paid rent before she was a politician either.
The Chicago way strikes again with another criminal Chicago Democrat (but I repeat myself).
There.. ; )

Inherited a mess by any chance?
This includes TAXES as well....we must be consistent when it comes to breaking the law, contracts, agreements, the Constitution, you name it. Oh, check her freezer too.
Unreal. These people are sickening.
Chicago schools says lawmaker owes it more than $500,000
After trying to negotiate a new lease for her South Side district offices, state Rep. Monique Davis went seven years without paying rent to the Chicago Board of Education, a revelation that has embarrassed both the school district and the long-time politician.
All told, the schools’ inspector general believes Davis owes the board more than $500,000 in rent, back taxes and fines, according to an annual report.
The school district has sued the Chicago Democratic legislator for $83,737.35, according to court documents filed in November, but is not seeking compensation for property taxes and associated fees. The Illinois attorney general’s office has filed paperwork to represent Davis but declined to comment.

Chi-Town ping.
You beat me to it.
Since Democrats don’t have to pay taxes, why should they have to pay rent?
"Where would I go?" shesaid. "I looked for places to go. I'm not going to have a hole in the wall."
"There wasn't a whole lot of push to get her out," he said.
I’m not overly concerned with the details. It’s the big picture I’m interested in:
The WH is staffed by a bunch of tax cheats and Chicago, as well as other dem cities, are run by a pack of thieves.
And Pelosi said she was going to “clean up government”.
I realize that you can’t blame Pelosi for WH tax cheats and Chicago’s thugocracy but still, let’s get the big picture out there for all to see: the dems promised to end corruption and the worst of corruption comes from dems.
Wasn’t Arne Duncan the Chicago School chief during this time?
The same Arne Duncan who’s Obama’s friend, and now Secretary of Education?
she trained as and worked as a teacher and an educational administrator in the Chicago Public Schools system before entering politics
In August 2008, Blagojevich criticized Davis and nine other Chicago Democrats for, in his opinion, collecting dual salaries from the city of Chicago and from the state of Illinois as a lawmaker
Davis received endorsements from Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Junior
Monique Davis, by the way, is a member of the same Trinity United Church of Christ as Barack Obama
insisted that Wright was taken out of context: “I don’t think he meant God d-— America but I think he feels disappointed sometimes in the way America has acted in the past,” Davis said
Monique Davis sponsored and is named at the top of a resolution from the Illinois House of Representatives congratulating Jeremiah Wright on his retirement
Davis is a former Chicago Board of Education administrator and member of the Illinois House Education Committee
“I have not done anything wrong,’’ Davis told the Chicago Sun-Times.
State Representative Monique Davis
Representative Davis says that guarantees in the law not promises will assure that PEG Access continues to provide a public forum in the future.
In 2006 the Democrats successfully captured control of the House of Representatives and Senate by using Republican corruption as a major campaign theme. The Republicans should have their talking points together and use every incident like this to decry Democrat corruption. Corruption and accountability are the two winning themes in 2010 the Democrats can’t run away from unless the Republicans choose not to make them issues.
We’ve got a mighty bludgeon in Democrat corruption to lay about us with...lets just see if we have the will to swing it.
She’s a female and black too!
Rules are different for them.
