* Pro's Ranch Market fires 300 employees working illegally in the U.S.
PHOENIX -- Job hunters turned out in the hundreds to fill recently-vacant positions at Pro's Ranch Market stores, where a federal audit led to the firing of some 300 workers.
Roxanne Nieves, one of the many that came out in search of a job, said she came to apply after she heard about the layoffs.

This from the guy who on this very thread wanted to discuss genitalia...
How many? How do you say "zero" in Mexican?
The question was, as was clear, directed at the other freeper who has stated numerous times in the past that he made money directly from illegals.
It is not nonsense, many in my family have been misplaced over the years- pushed out of jobs they had and wanted because employers wanted to hire illegals instead. You are out of touch with the reality of illegal immigration. Long before the economic downturn many citizens wanted the jobs illegals had and were denied the opportunity. Illegals are far cheaper to employ and willing to put up with unsafe working conditions so there is no way for a citizen to compete with them for jobs.
Many business owners that hired illegals refused to hire citizens for fear they would report them for hiring illegals. Agriculture and construction jobs- as well as service type jobs used to be stepping stone jobs for those that wanted a career in those areas. Many people started at the entry level jobs and worked their way into management or ownership. Illegals took that opportunity away from citizens years ago and it got worse as time went on.
Politicians, media, and many others are very far out of touch on this issue. Do not swallow the liberal mantra of “jobs Americans don’t want/won’t do” it is simply not true.
That slogan was a bald faced lie when it was first uttered and has been ever since. Even during your virtual full employment I knew many people who wanted and needed jobs in construction and agriculture and service and were denied those jobs in favor of illegals. Many who do the entry level type jobs are not eligible for unemployment because they work odd jobs- handyman type jobs or whatever they can do to get by. That group of people are never counted in unemployment figures since they cannot apply for benefits. Young people who need those first jobs to prepare them for their future aren’t counted either because they don’t qualify for benefits either.
Reality is many unemployed or underemployed people want and need those jobs illegals had and no one would listen. Out of touch politicians, media and business owners that wanted cheap labor perpetuate the myth that we need illegals.
We desperately need to purge illegals out of our work force and get Americans employed in those jobs. If the economy improves to the point we really truly don’t have enough workers then we need to increase legal work permits. Our country does not ever need and should not ever have illegal workers.
Absolutely true- every word. The rest of the story is illegals couldn’t live on those wages either which is why they overwhelmed medical and social services. Giving businesses slave labor cost taxpayers a fortune and it is past time to end it.
Construction jobs, agriculture jobs, service jobs, meat packing- all used to pay a decent wage and many American families were raised on those wages. Illegals took those jobs and depressed wages to the point many of those jobs pay the same as they did 20 years ago.
Oh yes illegals stick together- if there is an opening they want it for their illegal family or friend. If a citizen gets the job they will deliberately run them off so the job will go to another illegal. Once an employer hires a few illegals they will take over and before long the workers are nearly or all illegal. The business owner is fooled into thinking citizens don’t want the jobs because if he hires illegals citizens know they cannot work there and get along.
That is not the real free market- they are ILLEGAL and do not belong here- period. They are the modern equivalent of slaves and anyone that supports illegal workers is supporting slavery. I thought this country outlawed slavery years ago.
Anecdotal, yet powerful, refutation of the “...doing the jobs Americans won’t do ...” liberal myth.
bump
Illegal or not, after they have committed a crime, that requires a prison sentence no less, they should not ever be eligible for entry into this country again upon their release. Which needs to be BACK to where ever they came from.
ROFLOL!!!!
Totally agree..................
Come now, Aunt B, darling.....if you’re going to ping me, make sure you have ammo to use.
The economy today is NOT the economy that existed when you first used that stupid argument.
Of course there will be people standing in line when the unemployment is at 18% and even higher for high school and even college graduates with 4 year degrees.
