In wake of a leaked British Petroleum (BP) internal memo that says "the company's damaged oil well in the Gulf of Mexico could be gushing as much as 100,000 barrels of oil a day," President Barack Obama has declared a massive crackdown on American citizens who illegally download music and movies from the Internet.

"Now, more than ever, we need to protect the ideas, artistry, and our reputation for quality, provide our businesses with the incentives to make each new product better, reduce crimes related to intellectual property infringement and keep dangerous counterfeits out of our supply chain to protect our citizens," states a June 22 White House press statement. "To achieve this most important goal, we will take a close look at the unique problems posed by foreign-based websites and other entities that provide access to counterfeit or pirated products, and develop a coordinated and comprehensive plan to address them."

The Obama Administration needs to get its priorities in order if it believes waging war against digital pirates is the "most important goal" our nation needs to achieve at a time when our current National Threat Level is "Elevated" and no one seems to know how to control "100,000 barrels of oil a day" spilling in to the Gulf of Mexico ... This is a fairly large issue with young folk, the ones that mobilized to put him in.

I can’t imagine O doing this if its a bad political move, but I don’t know hardly any young people who want major prosecutions and government interference with this.

Somehow I must have inadvertently erased a couple of line items:

1. Global War on Terrorism/Afghan War (should be in the first list)

2. Movie and Music Piracy (second list).

He’s just testing things out for internet censorship.

This guy really thinks he’s all powerful. Too bad US citizens are still too stupid to put their everyday lives on hold long enough to end this bull.
