Rahm Emanuel Isn't Eligible to Run for Mayor of Chicago?
The Looking Spoon ^ | 10-4-10 | Jared H. McAndersen

That's actually a question being asked. Check out the Chicago Sun-Times article here (via Memeorandum)

Man, that would be a HUGE bummer if he couldn't run because he wasn't an actual resident of Chicago...right Barack?

................Mr. President?

Was it something I said?

Hello?

Just me?

While they’re at it, they can check Dunham’s eligibility also.

Non-issue. The responsible parties will squint their brains and find a way to see him as eligible. C'mon, this is Chicago politics.

So when did eligibility have anything to do with elections in Chicago?

I doubt that this is a serious issue. Emanuel most likely has a residence in Chicago and has probably kept his voter registration in the city. That would satisfy residency requirements.

I have to be honest, its not much of an issue for me at all...I just never pass up an opportunity to make fun of the president. :-)

Valerie Jarrett is a slum lord. Let Rahm become one of her tennants. You would still have to backdate the lease to make him eligible.

None of this matters to DemocRATs. Rules are made to be broken. Besides POTUS wasn’t eligible for his office. Ask Nazi Pelosi under oath...

“Ask Nazi Pelosi under oath...”

What, is that some sort of magic spell that will cause her to tell the truth? At this point, why do you think that would work?

You would have better luck with Wonder Woman’s Lasso.

OK, how about a lie detector?

“OK, how about a lie detector?”

Lie detectors don’t work on psychopaths and pathological liars, so, in short, no.

I learned this from watching crime shows on television. And they say that television isn’t educational!

Or maybe, it was a convenient excuse to exit stage left!

There are Demonrats who don't want Ballerina Boy in the race. (Think Jesse Jackson Jr., for one.) It depends on which band of Demonrats the judge(s) are loyal to. The Daley machine is an alliance of a bunch of different factions. There's potential for a lot of infighting.

You are probably right. Having seen how the crime shows do it, and having experienced it first hand, I’d have to say TV takes a lot of shortcuts, and usually leaves out the up front work due to time constraints.
