Whether you are for or against the building of an Islamic Mosque at the site described as ground zero, there is no way that you can support the government, your government reported plan to pay seed money for any religious construction under any condition. That would violate your sense of separation of church and state.
Yet your government has been building Mosques all around the world with your money for sometime (see previous post) The latest violation of the separation of church that your government is involved in is it is about to secretly fund 5 million dollars for the ground zero mosque. (see 3:33min video)

100 years from now, the history books, if there are any history books, will tell how the greatest country in the world inflicted its own ruin on itself.
What a sad tell to be told.
I would recommend that we just butcher and bar-b-que a pig on the proposed site and save the money.
park51 now has full title to the building ?
ConEd sold their “half” ?
I thought the mosque votes just put in an application. Doesn’t necessarily mean it will be funded.
Yeah me too but according to the vid on the link people in the know say the fix is in. Jus like the Commission that originally approved the project.
This is an incredibly stupid move from a public relations viewpoint, which is why it’s never going to actually come about. The grant application will not be approved, or if it is it will be quickly rescinded in the face of the enormous public backlash which would hit it.
The moment that this project receives a drop of taxpayer money, it loses a ton of supporters who frame the question in terms of freedom of religion and non-discrimination against Muslims. Public opinion will spike to 90% opposition, and opponents will claim the high moral ground.
From your mouth to God’s ear!
Good health!
