The Palin Factor: Even Republican Elites Don't Get It
American Thinker ^ | 11-26-10 | Lance Fairchok

Posted on 11/26/2010 4:13:31 AM PST by radioone

We all know the left hate Sarah Palin with a passion surpassed only by their loathing for Rush Limbaugh. The list of leftist political, media, and cultural figures who have insulted, smeared, misrepresented, and concocted hit jobs against her is long and varied. With predictable hypocrisy and lack of human decency, they also went after her children, a new trendsetting low for the talking heads America is rapidly coming to despise.

“a coach to soften her delivery”.
I agree, SODS. It’s obvious that Sarah needs some coaching with delivery in the future.
FRANK LUNTZ ALERT!

What bothers me is that these “experts” who give advice about how she should present herself are completely missing the point.
We now have a gutsy voice, albeit one that needs a little honing, that speaks truth and takes on the big guys, especially Hussein and his thugs. Let’s not shoot the messenger!

Yeah. It was a real lib-fest. We watched Fox News’ history of conservatism then the special on the potential Republican candidates for president in 2012.

Then my dad, who has never voted for a Democrat in his life, told stories to my college aged children of how he smuggled Bibles into communist nations during the Cold War.

My dad, the liberal! (rolling eyes)

Gravitas:

2012: Palin / Duncan Hunter (Sr.)
2016: Palin / Duncan Hunter (Jr.)

No, that’s not meant as even one tiny bit, of a joke. :)

Seriously. Bring on the senior Hunter first term, to add a MOUNTAIN of everything which is important in a presidency.

Then once the train is rolling, bring the younger Congressman on board in some capacity - perhaps National Security Advisor - then groom him into the VP for the second term.

Save on printing costs, for the 2016 bumper stickers too. :)

The elder Duncan Hunter is one of America’s most clear-thinking experts on the Peoples Republic of China’s massive strategic significance to America.

That’s going to be very important go-forward.

They’re both veterans, and clear-headed patriots.

Since Hunter didn’t knock the ball out of the park last go-around, perhaps bringing him in lower on the ticket may be the answer.

They’d be a good combination IMHO.

Let Sarah be Sarah.

And let Sarah lose.

Delivery from the stump is a lot like singing. You may like her country style but this isn't about you...it's about national leadership. She is going to have to polish her style with much practice if she is going to be able to win and lead the entire country.

I am glad to see Sarah Palin Fighting Back,if more of the Feckless Cowards on the right would throw the Legions of Staements of the Clown in the White House back at him that are totally ignored this Veil of Intelligence they throw over that Buffoon would be exposed

I'm glad that SOMEONE on our side is finally firing back. That's why I support her without reservation. We desperately need a conservative leader with BACKBONE.

Agreed. Plus she is going to have to have in-depth conversations in hostile environments if she is going to win the presidency.

She is not going to be able to Twitter herself into the White House then Facebook a foreign policy to the world's leaders.

I’d hate to her end up looking like just another suck-up. We already have one of those in the White House!

Personally, I think she’d make a great Secretary of the Interior.

Yep. Sarah's a smart cookie...and courageous enough to take the fight into those hostile environments, and to prove herself in those environments.

It's an uphill battle, but she's a fighter...and I believe she'll win if she keeps fighting and growing.

Not a chance!

Obama is a complete and utter fake.

Sarah on the other hand is the genuine article. But even the genuine article has to learn to communicate herself genuinely and in truth to those who speak different languages. And make no mistake, there are as many different languages in America as there are towns and cities.

Last time I looked Romney wasn’t a Republican. He’s only registered as one. He was the commie governor of taxachusets. He is a well known oxygen thief like our dear leader Obimbo..

The fact that Sarah Palin would work on her presentation does not make her a “suck up.”

Rush Limbaugh is nobody’s suck up, yet he has perfected his radio voice and his presentation.

Same thing with any good communicator.

I've seen a quality in Sarah I haven't seen since Reagan. Common sense and courage.....no one else comes close.

I very much like Sarah because I believe she is honest, straight forward, and most importantly not corruptible

Your last point is most profound, IMO. I think that scares the Wasington DC establishment more that anything else.

My experience is basically the same as earlJam’s...and isn’t it a little insulting to call another Freeper’s story “made up” just because it differs from yours?

All ,as near as can be, conservatives give her moderate support, many strong support.
Making herself sympathetic as a person to the general population is the important matter now and that is what she’s working on. People will not uncrtically accept negative portrayals of her if they view her as a person.
Her problem is not consrvatives but the general population.
If she can drive her ‘unfavorable’ numbers down to the low 30’s by summer she’ll run and win. If they stay in the 40’s she won’t. If they’re in between then there’s a problem...

“Heavy hitter” addressing of policy and issues will have to come later or she’ll mix her message.

And it must come in due course or she’ll never win.
She’ll also need a cadre of excellent people around her.
