1. First off, and I know I’m late in mentioning this, but did you notice that President Obama backed a complete disaster in Illinois -- mob banker Alexi Giannoulias?
This doomed candidacy cost Democrats control of Obama’s old senate seat. Naturally, we can’t expect the press to focus on inconvenient news stories while they’re busy relishing the fact that one Republican defeated another Republican in Alaska by a few thousand votes.
(In contrast, Democrat Giannoulias lost to Republican Mark Kirk by more than 80,000 votes)
But if Obama couldn’t even get his hand-picked mob-banker buddy across the finish line with all the dead Dem voters in liberal Illinois and after making multiple personal appeals on Giannoulias’ behalf, he’s washed up, for sure, right? This utter lack of influence in his “own state” – nay, his own backyard – the senate seat that he so briefly occupied – suggested to me, at least, that Obama isn’t qualified to serve a second term as president. Don’t you agree? That’s the standard these days, you know.

just thought I’d metion that Sarah Palin was vetted far more than Barak Obama was years ago and last time I checked, she’s never declared candidacy.
I adhere to the Buckley Rule, which was generally subscribed to by Ronald Reagan: Vote for most conservative primary candidate likely to win in the general election.

This is an excellent article that makes excellent points. But I am saddened to see Christie lumped in with Romney and Bush.
Saddened because I see Christie and Palin as natural allies and this article hints that there’s already a deep division between them.
I hope the writer is wrong about that one point. But otherwise, excellent piece.
The division comes from Christie laughing and joking about a possible Palin run for President.
When asked about it Sarah was surprised because she had just spoken with Christie and he had been perfectly cordial. The snark from the ‘establishment’ is getting a little old, and having the opposite reaction theu are hoping for.

For those who doubt Palin can win the 2012 Presidential elections, the census is about to change the landscape. and the change is going to massively benefit the GOP nominee, which will in all likelihood be Palin.
Take the States McCain won and add just six more (in each of which Obama’s numbers are in the toilet) and in each of which the GOP will have sitting governors: Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Indiana, Virginia and Nevada. The GOP cleaned up, as did her endorsees, in all six states with the partial exception of Nevada where Harry Reid won narrowly but where the Dems lost the governorship badly.
That is 271 electoral votes and with them, Palin is President.
To the PDSers and the “Palin is unelectable” crowd, read ‘em and weep. At this point Palin has a clearer, less obstructed, path to the White House than Ronald Reagan had at this point in 1978.

I don’t even include Wisconsin (new TEA party Senator and Governor), New Hampshire (Palin endorsee elected to the Senate)and New Mexico (Mama Grizzly TEA party Governor)
That is 20 more EVs for insurance , for a total of 291, more than Bush got in 2004.
This time we have to vote for the only candidate that can possibly save the country: Palin, because she “gets it.”
Any other candidate, regardles of party, is failure.

Good analysis except we still have a rat governor in North Carolina: Beverly Perdue. However, both houses of the legislature went Republican for the first time in over 100 years and therefore I do not disagree with you. Sarah can win!

Obama isn’t fit to serve a second term, but don’t fool yourselves into thinking that Kirk won for the reasons stated.
You must have missed the Kirk-Giannoulias lunch pow wow the day after the election.
Alexi has some problems coming up. Better to install Kirk.
