Video- Sheriff Dupnik: I Can’t Think of a Single Incident Where Armed Citizens Stopped a Crime

The now infamous Arizona sheriff Clarence Dupnik, who has blamed Sarah Palin and Sharron Angle for the shootings in Arizona, was on a round table talk show a couple months ago. He delivered an extremely convoluted message about guns. Check out this clip of that round table (the full video which includes some talk about mental illness treatment can be found here):

So, uh, what is his message here? First he says that he can’t think of a single incident where armed citizens have stopped a crime, which is absurd, but then he goes on to say that he wouldn’t let his wife go on a walk without a gun. He also seems to make some odd implication that having a gun can’t protect you even if you are a police officer. He is just completely incoherent.

The sheriff is trying to say that guns don’t have telepathy?

While a gun may not “stop” a crime in advance, it has certainly limited the extent of countless crimes.

Huh?!?! True to his liberal form, this guy is speaking from both sides of his mouth! So what does he really believe? Is he saying that only HIS wife should have a gun? Why can’t my wife, or my neighbours wife have a gun?

And if this sheriff has never looked at gun crime statistics in states where right-to-carry laws are enforced, is he qualified for his job? Shouldn’t he be informed about basic statistics like this?

Also, allow me to school this partisan hack punk b*tch-*ss faggot Sheriff:

A Tucson, Arizona homeowner alerted of an impending home invasion by his security cameras, armed himself and took matters into his hands when four armed suspects attempted to break into his home last week.

The rhythmic pounding of an evening jog gave way to a pulse-pounding life-or-death struggle for a Tucson, Ariz., man who found himself the prey of a nefarious duo. As the resident jogged down a city street, two men – one armed with a 5” knife – approached from behind and commenced an attack, according to police. After the knife-wielding assailant shouted a threat, the jogger fired his 9 mm handgun. One assailant ended up at a local hospital while the other was treated to a stay in the Pima County Jail. The victim later stated, “At some point in their lives, people get involved in a violent situation. I figured it was bound to happen at some point. That’s why I got a [gun] permit.” (Arizona Daily Star, Tucson, Ariz., 5/31/00)

While taking groceries to her car, a man approached an 82-year-old woman and said something horrible to her: “This is your day. You are too old to be alive anyway.” According to police, he then grabbed the woman’s cane and beat her. Despite the savage assault, the elderly woman managed to reach into her purse, draw her gun and fire a shot. The man fled and, upon hearing the shot, store employees quickly came to the woman’s aid. The self-proclaimed “stubborn, old broad” is badly bruised but will fully recover. “If I go naturally or to a sickness or something, fine,” she said. “I’m ready to go, but I’m not ready to let some idiot like that take me out.” (KVOA-TV, Tucson, Ariz., 03/15/10)

When a man dressed in black approached a woman on the street, implied he had a gun and demanded cash, she initially tried the passive approach. Police say that although she had a concealed-carry permit and a revolver tucked away, she handed some money over and hoped the robber would leave. But when that didn't work, and fearing her life was in danger, the victim drew her revolver and pointed it at the robber, who ran away. According to a police officer, "She was in fear of her life, and she defended herself appropriately."

There. There's a start for you, you evil, sinister policital hack.

Three hours ago in my hometown:

Houston County Sheriff's Office Capt. Antonio Gonzalez said around 11 a.m. Monday, business owners at Courtney's, a mobile home-related business located on the 2400 block of Hodgesville Road, spotted suspicious activity.

They found two men trying to burglarize the business, and held them at gunpoint until police arrived. One of the suspects attempted to flee, resulting in one of the business owner's firing a shot into the ground, which convinced the suspect to stick around, Gonzalez said.

The man is old and senile. I’m wondering if there shouldn’t be a mandatory retirement age for law officers.

Someone send this nimrod the following link:

Won’t do any good. Even if it suddenly appeared on his monitor, he would shut his eyes, cover his ears and shout “La! La! La! La! I CAN’T hear you.”

He knows exactly what he is doing.

He is campaigning right now. All of this is just laying the foundation for a Liberal Dem congressional run next election, either State or Federal.

This guy couldn't care less about being Sheriff or the people he supposedly ‘serves’ or the protect and serve stuff.

He, like all Libs, is in it for HIM and what HE can get out of it. Trust me, he is loving every word written and posted about him. He knows it will help his campaign next election with his uber-Lefty supporters.

It's kind of nice to see this jerk blossom from a little liberal idiot to a colossal liberal idiot before our eyes.
With that one quote he has made himself a complete fool to every gun owner in America and an embarrassment to the left.
Sooner or later the elitist left will tell him to shut the hell up.

The Sheriff needs to talk to this guy

Investigators said on December 16, two of the suspects posed as customers at the Castillo Jewelry store in the 4500 block of Canal Street. Police said a third suspect entered the store, pulled out a gun and announced it was a robbery. Castillo pulled out his own gun when one of the suspects started dragging his wife into the back of the store. The store owner shot that suspect then ducked behind the counter, grabbed a shotgun and shot the other two suspects. Castillo was wounded when one of the suspects returned fire. "You know that they’re gonna kill you," said Castillo through his daughter's translation. "In that moment, the only thing that I was asking from God was just, ‘Give me a second, give me a second, Father.’ And thank God that he did." God gave him that second, he says, when a bullet hit a fire extinguisher. The spray made the gunmen hesitate. Castillo did not. The proclaimed hero has six bullet wounds, with several more surgeries planned.
