Alan Colmes says that he is a fan of Al Jazeera and defends the Arab network. Alan Colmes used to be the counterweight to conservative Sean Hannity on the now-defunct “Hannity & Colmes” TV show. Leaving in early 2009 after bragging that he helped get Barack Obama elected, Colmes has remained on the Fox News Channel in a diminished role, appearing to offer truly far-left commentary all the time. Just last night, he offered commentary that can only be described as being in support of America’s enemies, as Colmes actually declared himself a fan of Al Jazeera. Al Jazeera has received relentless criticism for encouraging Islamic extremism and being anti-Semitic, but Colmes, a Jew himself, claims they are a free speech-channel that is good for the Middle East.
