10 Things That The Egypt Riots Can Teach Us About What Happens When Society Breaks Down
One Patriot's Thoughts ^ | 2/5/11 | onemansthoughts

1 When society breaks down, people look for whatever weapons they can find. Over this past week, abandoned police stations throughout Egypt have been stripped of their arsenals by looters.

2 When society breaks down, nobody is safe. Average Egyptians “armed with sticks and razors” have formed vigilante groups to protect their homes from the crazed looters that have emerged during the rioting.

3 When society breaks down, you better protect your women and children. At least 60 rapes have been officially reported since the rioting began. The unofficial number is surely far higher than that.

4 When society breaks down, criminals do not fear the law. There are reports that at least 4 prisons have been attacked and that thousands of convicts have escaped into the streets.

5 When society breaks down, authoritarian governments begin hoarding food. The Telegraph is reporting that governments throughout the Middle East and North Africa have started stockpiling huge amounts of food in response to all the rioting that has been going on.

6 When society breaks down, food shortages can happen shockingly fast. As commerce has been brought to a standstill in Egypt, serious shortages of some of the most important basic food staples are starting to be reported. Many families in Egypt only have enough food to be able to survive for a couple more days.

“When this happens in America and the leftists, muslim sypathizers and welfare class take to the streets in armed insurrection, we will need a strong leader to do what’s necessary and crush the revolt.”

respectfully, I must disagree. When some looter or mob tries to burn a car, the owner of the car will deal with it them self, on the spot.

Same for those wanting to loot a store.

An armed people IS a peaceful people.

Apparently you haven’t been paying attention, if you had you would have seen that common sense is something that clearly is already in short supply.

Same thing. A strong leader on our side will be needed.

When society breaks down, Laz packs his bug out bag, his Mountain House (about 6 months of meals for two), his water purification systems, his spare water, his rifles and ammo, holsters his pistol, gathers his communication gear, gets in his vehicle with his chick. He drives to an unnamed location where his friend-since-high-school owns a farm and has plenty of room for able-bodied team members.

One interesting part of the whole Egypt riot to me is the fact that the police left. They disappeared. To all my neighbors and some family members who believe that regular people shouldn’t be allowed to own guns and ammo, this should be a wake up call. You can’t rely on the police (or government) to protect you when poop hits the fan. IMHO

“What if the leftists, welfare class, and muslims are the ones in control and we are the ones in revolt?”

I’ve been thinking about that very scenario. You know it’s interesting to watch obama sticking his nose in telling mubarek to step down. What would the world and our Army do if we were the one’s rioting in the streets? Good question.

Egypt 2011: Preview of America in 2015

“Take a good look at what’s happening in Egypt during February, 2011. What’s happening there may happen in the U.S. within four short years.

That’s the grim forecast made by the National Inflation Association (NIA) in the frightening advisory recently released by the normally staid organization. The NIA is warning that the Federal Reserve policies have primed a ticking inflationary time bomb that could explode into a “misery index” unseen even during the Jimmy Carter years.

If such a scenario unfolds-and they contend the U.S. economy is rushing towards that dire destination like a runaway freight train-then in only a handful of years America will be erupting in chaos worse than what’s transpiring in Cairo.

The unrest that has broken out in the Middle East has galvanized the attention of the world, yet similar unrest broke out in the UK during the latter months of 2010 and in East Africa too. Those riots and demonstrations were mostly ignored by the U.S. media.

What is driving the breakouts of demonstrations and civil unrest is the price of food. The commodity prices have soared as much as 30 to 50 percent during the last year for such staples as wheat, corn, rye, soybeans and sorghum.”

So exactly who is Mohamed El Baradei?

A bitter enemy of the West in General, the US in particular. He is the chief enabler of the Iranian effort to build the A-bomb.

He is bad news. Fortunately, the people of Egypt don't consider him Egyptian, as he has not lived in country for a long time.

Yup. It's going to become an ever-more-popular subject, right up until it becomes current events locally.

Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

The Arab bloodlusters conquered Egypt as Is slam swept across North Africa. The current population is 23 to 1 Arab over the actual Egyptians, the Copts. We see what happenes to any culture or nation which allows ISlam to take over. The brits better start to apy attention to History, or they will be a ‘shiite’-hole like Egypt within one more generation!

TC, thanks fer the ping, and Lori, Ma'am, i believe youve hit the nail squarely regarding food/commodities being THE big factor here as well...

with the economy in the toilet, energy and food will be like crack to the everyday citizen, much less the spoiled parasitic class...the veneer of civilization is becoming paper thin...
