"Peaceful Mob" Corners and Detains Wisconsin GOP Senator Glenn Grothman; Saved By Dem Rep Hulsey
Main Street Radical ^ | 3/1/2011 | James Devere

There is an underlying message that continues to spew from the mainstream media that the union protests in Wisconsin are a peaceful grassroots effort to support downtrodden public employees.  This is not necessarily the case when you now have an element in the crowd that are more anarchists and agitators.  Any doubts take a look at the video below.  It is longer than those that we usually post but it does a good job of illustrating what the protesters are about.  Imagine the media explosion that would happen if this were a Tea Party instead of a group of communists and anarchists.

Wisconsin Senator Glenn Grothman found himself under assault and eventually detained against his will by the mob of protesters.  I have known many union members and this is not typical behavior; it seems that the Wisconsin protests organized by the DNC and the Obama campaign have morphed into more of an anarchist and radical left rally.  You will see some of their favorite tactics on display with chanting, intimidation, and one protester who continuously blows a whistle to add to the constant din of chanting “Shame”, “F*** You”, and “peaceful protest,”  as if by saying it it somehow makes it so, when in reality this mob looks like a pack of jackals with a fresh piece of meat.

The bottom line here is that a lawmaker was detained against his will and intimidated by an angry mob.  That should not happen in America.

Could have been worse. Could have been beaten like a female journalist on the streets of Cairo.

Sometimes democrat fanatics do that, you know.

What are WI laws regarding firearms? I would not walk near the building without packing heat.

I am posting from an iPad and cannot get the link for the video. If anyone can grab it from the site and put it here I’d appreciate it.

That journalist was raped, not merely beaten. This mob in Wisconsin was formed out of a more or less Christian society; the mob in Egypt was formed out of an Islamic society. IMO, that's the only reason Sen. Grothman is still alive.

“no issue” for concealed carry. http://www.wisconsinconcealedcarry.com/

However you can carry openly I believe, although open-carrying citizens have been harrassed and detained for carrying in a few well-publicized cases in WI.

Madison Police Dept. now the paramilitary wing of the Wisconsin government unions.

1:00 PM
Mahoney: Officers aren’t the “palace guard”

Frustrated by a lack of explanation for the clamping down of access to the Capitol building, Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney said his deputies yesterday were pulled from a duty to keep people from entering the Capitol.

“Over the last two days we have placed those law enforcement officers in the position of being palace guards,” Mahoney said.

Mahoney said an entire day went by yesterday before the Department of Administration offered a reason for locking doors to the building. The public has only been allowed into the Capitol through the King Street entrance since yesterday.

Mahoney said his officers have been at the Capitol to ensure public safety and for people on both sides to have freedom of speech and Assembly, not to restrict those rights. He said he’s “never been prouder than these past two weeks” of his officers.

Mahoney said he believes law enforcement and public safety is being jeopardized by the restrictions.

“I am confident having talked with our staff on the Capitol grounds that we still have a peaceful demonstration. But it’s crucial that individuals have a voice and access to their lawmakers,” Mahoney said.

The deputies had been told that the doors would be open at 8 a.m. yesterday, but that didn’t happen and the officers didn’t find out why until the afternoon, Mahoney said.

“When asked to stand guard at the doors that duty was turned over to the Wisconsin State Patrol because our deputies would not stand and be palace guards,” Mahoney said. “I refused to put deputy sheriffs in a position to be palace guards.”

Gee where were the police?

Oh nevermind. They are with the protesters.

“Hundreds of police, many ordered to disperse the demonstrators, instead joined them inside the protester-occupied Statehouse. “We have been ordered by the legislature to kick you all out at 4:00 today,” an officer announced to the crowd, “but we know what’s right from wrong. We will not be kicking anyone out, in fact, we will be sleeping here with you!”

Guess it’s time to call in the National Guard.

An old saying seems to apply here:"You can take the animal out of the jungle, but you can't take the jungle out of the animal?"

I'd hate to have been caught in the middle of this mob of haters.

Could have been worse.

It will be. They've been consistently ratcheting up the violence of late. Their Alinskian rules of engagement dictate that they not only never back down, but that they redouble the intimidation and the violence in the face of anything short of total and unconditional surrender. As it stands today, they haven't left much room short of killing. And once that starts, all bets are off. The thing that should really stand out for all of us is that the law has done nothing and will do nothing. With everything that implies.

War is coming. There is no reason now to suppose that it wont't happen here.

Link for the video of the assault on Sen. Grothman. I might add that Sen. Grothman is MY Senator, a good guy, and he doesn’t deserve this. I think he should wear body armor next time he goes to work! Disgraceful.

And don’t anybody be too supportive of the Dem Assemblyman who escorted him. He continued to whip up the crowd against our Governor.

Totally agree. When election time comes around, I'm prepared to go through the motions, but the electoral process won't fix this.

Half the country want to be free and have the country wants to own slaves. We've been here before, and the result isn't pretty.

This is obviously his fault...he did not march into the state Capitol holding a megasized gavel and a cabal of like minded legislators marching with him.
On a serious note, I could not get to the second minute of the twelve minute video....my blood pressure was seriously affected.

“When asked to stand guard at the doors that duty was turned over to the Wisconsin State Patrol because our deputies would not stand and be palace guards,” Mahoney said. “I refused to put deputy sheriffs in a position to be palace guards.”

Translation: "We are sympathetic to the union thugs, and therefore refuse to do our job."

Leftists are like your pesky little brother riding in the backseat of the car when you were a kid. You know - extending her finger within a fraction of an inch and taunting, “I’m not touching you - I’m not touching you!”

When you do finally get tired of it and smack them they wail, “Mom!” Cowardly little drones.
