Congressman Mike Rogers shocked by Reader-in-Chief

Just heard this morning on a local radio broadcast: Congressman Mike Rogers, Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, said he found it "shocking" that Obama had to read his statement to top strategists in the Situation Room recently. Highly unusual for a president to be so unfamiliar with what's going on that he had to recite from a script. So, I'm wondering as I am sure Mike Rogers is wondering......who wrote it?

Today on MPS re: Obama's meeting with Clinton, Gates and Rogers, who chairs the Intelligence Committee: Michael Patrick Shiels: "Does he know what he's talking about, or is he a poseur?" Congressman Mike Rogers: "Um.....Let me just say that he had to read his statement in the Situation Room......I just found that a little shocking." ---- "I was a little surprised that he had to read his statement to a working group of individuals trying to figure out if this was the right thing to do or not." -Congressman Mike Rogers

The congressman is shocked? I guess he missed the little speech he gave in front of grade schoolers in which he used a teleprompter. This guy is a total incompetent.

But you would think that the smartest, coolest president ever would not have to recite from a prepared sheet when discussing his thoughts on Libya with top staffers. One has the impression that when he finished, he either left the room, or sat there like a silent sock puppet. I’m much less bothered by a congressman using a teleprompter to speak to schoolchildren than a president whose main talent is to read in a pleasing voice.

He’s an actor, nothing more, and the majority of Americans fell for “it” in ‘08.

I've known professional actors - personally (my younger brother is one - stage).

The stain is not an actor. Actors have to think, they have to interpret, they have to believe in their role.

The stain is empty. The stain is nothing but a bad tape recorder spitting out what is on the tape. No thought, no real emotion, no "soul", no professionalism...nothing at all. Just emptiness.

The stain needs to be eradicated from office...NOW!

I agree with you completely. My daughter is an actor, too. I gave actors a bad name with that one.

Yep

The congressman didn’t use the teleprompter at a grade school, the president did.

Actors have to think,

I worked in the manufacturing industry for almost 35 years and the only analogy I can come up with is the owner of a multi million dollar company, employing several thousand employees suddenly dying and his son, the sole heir to the company who has spent his entire life living off the trust funds while surfing the California shores or skiing Aspen all winter, now being called in to run the company.

At every board meeting he attends he sits there and nods approvingly then waves his hand and says that's a good idea, lets do it...........

I re-read my post and I don’t think it was your fault. I could have been clearer.

Skippy the Echolocating Wonderbat never ceases to amaze, why he’s such a great orator!
*snicker*
Gotta love it, he is both a joke and a disaster at the same time.
