I raise this question because the long-form Certificate of Live Birth released by the White House today describes Obama Sr.'s race as "African." That word is common in today's usage, but because political correctness has renamed many cultural groups over time, was that the designation used for all black babies born at Kapiolani Hospital in the 1960s? Perhaps someone will release their birth certificate from that time as a comparison. In the meantime, I'm still searching for an answer.
Click to enlarge Interestingly, in the September 1968 issue of Ebony Magazine, on page 27, there is an article titled "The Negro In Hawaii". Throughout the article, the author never uses the term African, just "Negro." The article offers a balanced debate about the pros and cons of being a "Negro" in paradise. If black people of the 1960s era referred to themselves as "Negro," did the hospitals record the births of black babies as "Negro?"
Here's an excerpt from the article:
The interviewer asked how they would feel about having a Negro as a co-worker. The answer was unanimous: no problem. When asked how they would feel about a Negro as their immediate supervisor, again the answer was unanimous: no problem.
How they would feel if a Negro bought the house next door? A few had doubts, but again the majority fully accepted the possibility.
But then came the question: how would they feel if their daughter dated a Negro . . . or if she married a Negro. Suddenly the picture changed: the great majority drew the line here. They said, in effect, no dice.
How would they characterize Hawaii's attitude toward the Negro? Prejudiced, unprejudiced or partly prejudiced? They stated unanimously: partly prejudiced.
"People want equality for the Negro," said one, "so long as it doesn't affect them personally."
One local Caucasian believed that Hawaii tolerates the Negro because of the small number living here, but that the state still does not accept them.
So, if the state didn't accept black people, would it be reasonable to think that they probably listed a black child's race on a birth certificate as "Negro," rather than African?
What do you think?
“african” is NOT a race
Otherwise obama, Ian Smith and P.W. Botha = all the same race
agreed. african is not a race.
On Youtube there is an episode of a 70s TV game show where the answer to a question that today would be gay or homosexual. But in this show, the normal and acceptable answer was queer.
And this document reeks of modern modification because of a similar concept: In 1961, blacks were called negro, colored, darkie, and several other less accepted names, but they were NEVER called African as Urkels father was in this document. An American adult in 1961 would no more have called a negro African than they would have called a homosexual gay. That alone is enough to raise huge questions about this document.
If The Donald does not make a big stink about this, it means he's a stalking-horse for Hussein, meant to inoculate him from further birth certificate inquiries.
Pres. Obama releases his birth certificate... the question now is why did he spend millions of dollars trying not to release it?

It could turn out to be the 8th wonder of the world, or is that now the 12th wonder of the world?
Obama and Hawaii have now passed the Rubicon.
They are now on record. If someone has that ace card to play, the smoking gun, that proves or seriously puts in doubt it is indeed a forgery, they can snap that door shut on Obama.
First inclination on receipt of the news is to have the original draft document age-verified by a guarranteed, independent facility. No monkey business allowed....
” . . . White House today describes Obama Sr.’s race as “African.” That word is common in today’s usage . . .”
Actually, it’s not and never has been. Recall Madelyn Albright’s description of a black official she met with in Africa,”an African-American (pause) African.” As a knee-jerk lib, she had no other way of describing a black man. The obviously pc creator of this Race-designation fell into the same trap: he/she couldn’t very well call a Kenyan an “African-American.”
If he was born here why did he and his wife say his birthplace was Kenya. So he lied while he was running for congress in Chicago.

This is a game of cat and mouse. There is some new information; they added a doctor, and a hospital to the info they already had out there. The doctor is dead and the hospital was already on record as having claimed he was born there in a fund raising scheme.
The problem for Obama is that they had to make this document match the other and that tied their hands a bit. When he was legally adopted by the Indonesian, his records in Hawaii should have been updated. Some of the other info has already been disproved. I think that they are counting on a continuing lack of scrutiny from the press and the fact that many will now say this is enough despite the fact that there are still a load of unanswered questions about his origins.
There was nothing officially tying Obama to the previously released Certification(s) of Live Birth. He never confirmed that he had authorized their release. This one was released by the White House. So this one is tied around his neck. His dad now “officially” was not a US Citizen at the time of Barry’s birth and so he is now proved to be not a natural born citizen as required by the constitution to be president.
I think this is important.
This does make me wonder, though. Surely other blacks were born in Hawaii in 1961, if not at Kapiolani at Hickham or Pearl. How are their COLBs filled out?
This so called release will not change anything. Zer0s approval numbers will continue to fall. If zer0 was from the moon and doing a great job people would want him to stay on the job, He is the worst ever, never in the history of the country has anyone done as bad a job.
zer0s days are numbered. 1/20/2013 a new day
