South Central L.A: Black Tea Partiers To Protest NAACP At 102nd Convention.

The black-led South Central L.A. Tea Party (whose motto is "Power to the People") is reportedly planning a protest against the NAACP at the organization's 102nd annual convention in Los Angeles on July 24. The group is headed up by the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, president of BOND Action (the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny).

Black Tea Partiers' specific gripes about the civil rights organization include that it's been "spreading lies" about racism in the Tea Party movement and promoting "black genocide" through its support of Planned Parenthood.

"The NAACP is a tool of the Obama administration,” Peterson said. He added, "For decades this group has supported left-wing policies which have created dependency, destroyed black families and hurt race relations."

I wish them well (Black Tea Party coalition). But, I am skeptical. I think that they will be shouted down and booed, won't be allowed to make their points. But, we shall see....

Will send out a few shockwaves to the NAACP plantation owners, I’m sure.

Will be interesting to see if the local news outlets cover this. I won’t hold my breath. It does not fit with their “tea party is made up of a bunch of white racists” narrative.

The black tea partiers aren’t “really” black. Just a bunch of “Uncle Toms”.

At first glance I thought their motto "Power to the People" was so 'sixties' and that they could have come up with better ... but upon a moment of reflection, I think it is appropriate. Someone has discovered that the true power in this country does belong to the people.

What a shockwave it would send through the halls of government if every citizen realized this and acted upon that realization.

Down with the NAACP! Love live the powerful -- THE PEOPLE!

That makes me smile. Your voices will be heard!! Even if only a few at a time listen, over time, the truth will prevail.

Cheering here on the East Coast, your message is spot on.

I sent Rev. Peterson a note of support from a fellow Tea Partier. May God Bless and protect him.

I actually saw the electronic billboards for the NAACP meeting at the dt L.A. convention center while driving to Venice Beach from Figueroa. My Korean buddy who owns a biz nearby said “I like black people, but they spend more on stuff and they mostly can’t pay for it”.
