Todd Palin: “Even The New York Times” Said “[McGinniss] Chases Caustic, Unsubstantiated Gossip”

This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife. His book is full of disgusting lies, innuendo, and smears. Even The New York Times called this book dated, petty, and that it chases caustic, unsubstantiated gossip.

In political terms, the only thing to do with this sort of smearing lie is ignore it, or you give it weight.

You are exactly right. He has made this statement, and, now, he should not make any more about the subject. If he is asked, he should just remind the reporter that he has already commented and has nothing further to add.
The media, even those without animosity toward Sarah, would love to get a back-and-forth going here.

In a slander or libel suit, I believe that the burden of proof is on the plaintiff to prove the defendant lied willfully. In cases such as this, a lawsuit is almost impossible to win, and does nothing more than give an opportunity for the MSM to publicize the libel/slander.
Not a good idea. Sorry.

To: Bigg Red
I hope he does exactly that, and he probably will - but I, for one, got his back on this if he does not or can not.
To: fantail 1952
Yep. The last thing a candidate for office can afford to do is to wrap him- or herself up in such lawsuits.

What woman here does not want Todd defending their honor?

When I watched Sarahs Alaska series, I was completely struck by Todd Palins enormous charisma. His persona jumped off the tv screen. Quite a duo, these two Palins.
I have been fortunate enough to meet them both back in '09 (yeah, weird, I know, but just one of those things that happens). They are both totally amazing people. Todd, I think moreso than Sarah. He is a very mans man - and his grace in supporting his wife is incredible.

That is true of decent folk. They wont really give this serious consideration. However, there are Palin haters in the Democratic field (and some GOP sadly) that will take this trash and run with it. It will be a cloud hanging over her head. I dont think it will keep anyone inclined to vote for her from doing so, but it could affect the weak minded.
You are right, of course. Except for one thing. Most folk are decent, even a fair number of those on the left. Look at the response already. The ones who will run with this are the ones that would never vote for her in a million years.

Don't forget, a similar A-Hole tried these same tactics with Nikkie Haley when she ran (and won) for governor of S.C.
Such creeps are scum bottom feeders of the first order.
Yet the LSM and such religiously ignore Larry Sinclair's allegations about him and Obama.

Joe just might get a package with a salmon wrapped in newspaper in it.
Just kidding. That visual just made me laugh.
I think they handled this well having Todd respond. The only person whose opinion really matter is saying it's a bunch of bull.
It reminds me of back when I was a kid. My dad got mugged in Dallas and the thief got his checkbook. He actually called my dad on the phone and told him that if he didn't come and write him a check that he was going to tell my stepmother that he had an affair with the thief's wife. My dad said "here she is, let me put her on the phone for you". ha ha Anyone who knew my dad would know that was a bunch of bull.

Wife was channel surfing and yelled come here.
MSNBC just had long segment with Joe Mc’Ginniss on. He and the bimbo went into all his lying Dirt about Sarah Palin, just shy of describing sexual acts.
Scum bags all.

"Todd probably wishes that McGinniss was still holed up next door so that he could walk over and beat the living crap out of him. I got one better: Todd should sue the Birkenstocks off of McGinness. Todd would not want an assault charge. And there are lawyers on the right who would take this slander case on as a badge of honor.

I’m truly sorry to have to disagree with the assertion that “most folks are decent.” Decency goes hand in hand with morality. We are living in an amoral culture that doesn’t understand decency or morality...they only understand what makes them feel good is OK. Which is wrong. I would say that less than 30% of the U.S. citizens have any real concept of morality and decency.
Otherwise, this type of trash about Sarah Palin would never have been published. And “reputable” news sources would not have given it coverage.

Somehow, looking at that photo, I wouldnt want Todd pissed at me! He's got that look of a veteran military man. If he wasn't military, he could have been, and probably would have excelled amazingly at it.
Books like McGoofiness's, make me very sad dueling has been declared illegal.
