Libya's transitional council says 'Muammar Gaddafi captured' in his hometown of Sirte, which just fell yesterday. Injured in both legs but still alive, the deposed dictator was thought to have been holed-up in the vast southern deserts of the country...
More at the (UK) Mirror -here-
NOW Al Jazeera says he was “killed in gun battle”
Gadaffi is dead.
His virgin body guards are going to need a new home.
Goodnight, funny man.
Now some are saying he has been captured — what a mess
NOW watch him escape like the sons did 3 or 4x lol
Mustafi Jalil is expected to address the Libyan people shortly.
Moussa Ibrahim Gadaffi’s spokesman has been captured
I want Alan Rickman to play him in the HBO movie.
I would not take your bet until I see a photo. There must be ten million carmeras around but strangely enough we never get anyone to take a pic.
You really think these countries are better off "totally Muslim".
Psssst, we're also doling out paychecks to the new Muzzies in Town.
WHy,Helen Thomas could have a new career?...........
I’m holding out for six months, waiting for the ‘Daffy is still dead’ bulletins.
I am going to miss his “Fabulous” costumes and his hottie army
He’s dead, Jim
Mo Mar lost some head as he fled. He be dead.
Will Barry pull the bus over to tune the air horns?
Watching now....they really tore that small town up while taking no prisoners it seems...
umm...he should have been dead a long time ago. He assassinated Americans.
Or Pan-Am 103.......
A beautiful young life lost: Theodora Cohen, 20 was among 35 students from Syracuse University on board Pan Am Flight 103 http://michaelmanning.tv/blog/2009/08/convicted-pan-am-flight-103-bomber-set.html
Not so fast, now it’s *unconfirmed*.
A rare voice of sanity here at FR... refreshing.
Besides rabid muzzies taking over there, plus the flood of ex-Libyan weapons spreading all over the world, and the atrocities being committed against the losing side, good luck ever getting a 3rd-world country to give up on nuclear weapons.
A national government's first duty is to the safety and security of the nation and its people - Iran, North Korea and any other weak nation will use what we did to Libya as justification to develop or increase their only possible deterrent to the threat from the US/NATO, and I for one don't blame them in the least.
My company at the time (VW of America) lost two board members on that flight
very graphic. supposed to be him. but very graphic.
Just like we were better off when the shah was deposed in Iran!
When folks at this late date are still praising this 'Arab Spring' and can't see that all it is is the acceleration of the total takeover by the forces of islam, I just gotta shake my head.
(Good post, btw.)
Will Obama attend the funeral?
Looks like more involved here than a mere “leg wound.”
“I would not take your bet until I see a photo.”
We didn’t need a photo for Hussein’s last “gutsy decision”.
Well put and 100% spot on - Why this (assassination) and why now? Gaddafi was never to be trusted, but he did give up his WMDs and we were treating him like any other fine “ally” in the WOT. It all stinks to high heaven —my own Govt. is trying to bring similar chaos right here to the USA. All a pretense to bring on Marshall law before the 2012 election.
Mo Mar to Obama: “You are ...and always will be...my friend.”
He’s being shown to his room in hell by Saddam right about now.
Reuters is now reporting he’s dead
I saw him down the street with a leafblower.....he’s here, passing himself off as a Mexican.
They showed a photo of what is supposed to be Ghadafi “dead”, confirmed by NATO. I guess we’ve popped off another one.
On my way in, I heard on the radio that his
escape convoy was hit by a NATO air-strike.
The ‘rebels’ just did the clean-up.
Is there a room in hell big enough for Teddy, Murtha AND Gaddafi?
He was born in Sirte and has died there.
I heard a family member of the Lockerbee dead praise Obama to the nines for doing a great job. We shall soon hear from Howdy Doody on what a great job he is doing.
I know Libya's new rulers will probably be a thousand times worse, but I can't help but feel a twinge of satisfaction when someone the Russkis, Castro, Chavez, Farrakhan, and Willis Carto idolized bites the big one.
