TigersEye - that is not nice. I could care less if you want to be Mr. Gay. Not that there is anything wrong with it. While I can respect your freedom to be very gay, I have a hard time reconciling it to reality.

Good luck with your gayness sir. You should at least tell your wife about your affinity for the pp. We don’t judge you. At last as far as you know.

Is gay sex the only thing you have on your mind?

The War on Drugs has caused more challenges to the Constitution than any other source. Freepers, it is being used to destroy the 2nd Amendment as well, as evidenced by the Fast and Furious debacle.

We as a nation have spent tens of billions on this War on the People and have nothing to show for it except a dismal rate of approval for all levels of government. Tens of thousands have died from its violence and there is NO END IN SIGHT. It is set to surpass the Cold War in length soon.

It may be distasteful but legalization and free distribution at clinics to adults is probably the only way to control this beast. Yes, drug addiction is ugly. But so are police raids where dogs, kids, vets, and old people are getting killed. So is the mood of this nation, who are convinced that gov is trampling all over the citizens rights.

If the gov legalizes it, they MUST control the market or nothing changes. Distribute it for free and people have a much less impetus to commit crimes to get money for their addiction. The cartels don’t need to slaughter tens of thousands of Mexicans over it. Drug gangs disappear. The militiarization of the police recedes. Individual rights reaffirmed. Quality of life for those who don’t abuse goes up. Some illegals who came her to flee the insanity go back home.

Can you live with this? The tradeoff is there will still be addiction and yes, it will be ugly and there will be overdose deaths involved. But those are choices made by adults. I don’t think it’s too much to demand from the gov that we be treated as adults.

Don’t worry - In the New Year I’ll be happy to describe your parentage and mental capacities.

Have a resentful Kwanzaa and an hysterical Festivus, also.

If you join the military, you have to be prepared to serve under any President. Even the current one.

If you don't think you can follow orders given these extremely vague circumstances, the military isn't for you.

On another note, how can anyone defend the legalization of addictive, mind altering, body destroying substances like crack?

The same way people can defend the legality of the worst drug on the face of the earth by far: alcohol.

Alcohol is an addictive, mind altering, body destroying substance, which causes more death, violence, and suffering than all illegal drugs combined.

It's the height of hypocrisy to legalize alcohol while making weed and other substances illegal.

Putting people in prison for posessing the wrong substance is not justice. People are responsible for their actions, whether influenced by illegal or legal drugs, and if they infringe on someone else's rights during the course of pursuing their bad habits, only then should criminality apply.

The powers granted to government by adherents to the Fascist Drug War are overtly Tyrannical, and have nothing whatsoever to do with Justice. This is why, in "the Land of the Free", there are more non-criminal citizens in prison than practically anywhere else in the world.

The Drug War is a Tyrannical bad joke which does nobody any good.

I don’t want my next door neighbor smoking crack on his front step when I come home.

And maybe your neighbor doesn't want you drinking alcohol when he comes home. It's not his choice to make.

You are free to destroy your body or your life with alcohol, or any other drug, if you so choose. As long as you don't abuse your wife & children, or do violence to others, or drive intoxicated, etc., that's your prerogative.

It's not the State's job to put you in prison to protect you from yourself.

That is a Tyrant's job.

Well, there’s a gulf of difference between anger properly directed and wrongly directed. One has a duty to be angry at evil, lies and so forth. If a person is not angry at what they should be angry at, it’s a killer in many ways. And not feeling anger at evil is also a great wrong.

We can see both ills at work, all over - wrongly directed anger, and lack of properly directed anger.

Allow anyone to grow weed but only they can use it. No selling, no “giving”.

Why no selling or giving? That restriction just keeps open a niche (albeit smaller than before) for black-market sellers.
