If that thing lasts for more than four hours, he needs to see a doctor.

Hehe. Quite a snow load...

It looks like the roof deflected the wind and started catching snow drifts. Unbelievable that the roof didn't collapse. The snow pile looks bigger than the house.

Actually The Trashmen were the creators of Surfin’ Bird, and were from Minneapolis, but the song had various influences in its creation. Wikipedia can tell you the story.

It says something about Russian construction techniques that their roofs can take those loads. Pretty handy capability for doomsday too.

So comrade, do we go outside and shovel the snow, or do we stay inside and drink the vodka?

No wonder they drink so much.

Can anyone explain why the man's silhouette has a white "halo" or sorts around it in this pic? Is it heat related? (the poles dont exhibit that). Looks like an old pic.

82 degrees in Dallas today...I love global warming!

Especially compared to the last couple of winters in the Metroplex.

The next time some Russian climate scientist screams ‘global warming’ being caused by whatever, the lynch mob will be ready and waiting for him.

Indeed, most Russian products -Ladas, panel construction appt blocks, planes- are crude but effective... plus durable and simple above all else, certainly style or comfort lol

It looks like a telegraph line. Those no longer exist in the US. Don’t know if they do in Russia.

Ah, you did. I didn’t look at the before posting from my phone. My main point was the Minneapolis vs California mention.

The “halo” is probably some sort of smoke or steam cloud in the distance.

The licence plate on the photo with a child is neither Russian, nor Soviet.
