FCC should clear Limbaugh from airwaves — Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem/CNN
Ironically, the misogyny Rush Limbaugh spewed for three days over Sandra Fluke was not much worse than his regular broadcast of sexist, racist and homophobic hate speech:
Limbaugh doesn’t just call people names. He promotes language that deliberately dehumanizes his targets. Like the sophisticated propagandist Josef Goebbels, he creates rhetorical frames — and the bigger the lie the more effective — inciting listeners to view people they disagree with as sub-humans. His longtime favorite term for women, “femi-nazi,” doesn’t even raise eyebrows anymore, an example of how rhetoric spreads when unchallenged by coarsened cultural norm.
At least this most recent incident has turned a spotlight back on the vile, damaging statements Limbaugh has been promulgating for years. His sponsors are dropping him; his stations have begun to follow suit. VoteVets, a coalition of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, released a statement by female vets, including Katherine Scheirman, former chief of medical operations in the U.S. Air Forces, demanding that the American Forces Network drop Limbaugh from its programming. This isn’t political. While we disagree with Limbaugh’s politics, what’s at stake is the fallout of a society tolerating toxic, hate-inciting speech. For 20 years, Limbaugh has hidden behind the First Amendment, or else claimed he’s really “doing humor” or “entertainment.” He is indeed constitutionally entitled to his opinions, but he is not constitutionally entitled to the people’s airways.
The FCC takes such complaints into consideration when stations file for license renewal. For local listeners near a station that carries Limbaugh’s show, there is plenty of evidence to bring to the FCC that their station isn’t carrying out its public interest obligation. Which got me to thinking - what has Janet Dewart Bell, wife of the late Derrick Bell (the guy who Obama hugged in the Breitbart video) done?

but I can't find a copy of that book anywhere. Amazon says it's out of stock, but you have to know the title, publisher and date to even get it to call up.
Did some other digging and there's another book out there with a foreward by Derrick and Janet Bell that supposedly "carved the way Obama thinks", but I couldn't locate a copy of that one either. It's called The Evidence of Things Not Seen by James Baldwin.
Anyway, it's funny how birds of a feather flock together. Steinem, Fonda, Bell...Obama.

Irond my husbands shirts and proud to do it and...since he was in the Air Force... I was even PROUDER to do it.

I washed and dried the dishes by hand
I was a HOUSEWIFE and PROUD TO BE ONE and...again since my husband was in the Air Force I was even PROUDER to call myself a military wife and mother.
I love my husband and my children and now grandchild. My husand went out and worked his normal job in the Air Force and then another job at night and managed to get his Master’s Degree on top of it all.
Was I a put upon woman? Not no but HELL NO! My husband did all he could to serve his country, work to bring in extra money and study to the wee hours of the morning for his college tests... all so that he could provide the future we all wanted. He didn’t do it all and I didn’t do it all. We...We...We did it all TOGETHER which meant we all sacrificed here and there (even the kids ) and they loved us both as we loved them and never hated us. they knew their parents loved them and worked to be sure their future was being laid out so that when the time came the kids would have that same work ethic as their mom and dad and know noone owed us anything. If we wanted something we/they worked for it.
Our kids respected us and knew when we said no we meant it and we did it all for them.
So, feminism to us was and is still a dirty word and to this day as we sit and enjoy the fruits of our labor and the joys of our families... we look back on the feminists and and wonder just how mjuch they think stinem and fonda ever did for them? Funny how there is a double standard. It’s the “be yourself and to hell with men” type attitude yet...tell me... who gets the botox and tries to stay young forever???????????? It’s the stineems and fondas and all the rest of the fake, phoney plastic so called celebrities out there who are still searching for their happiness.
If Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem,and Gloria Allred are against Rush Limbaugh; then I even more in support of Rush!

Jane Fonda is guilty of the worst obscenities in American history when she sat on that anti-aircraft gun and spoke against our country and our soldiers and airmen. She has a HELL OF A LOT OF GALL to be calling Rush out for abusing free speech.
