Why Barack Obama listed his birthplace as Kenya

The biography provided by Barack Obama to his literary agent specified his birthplace as "Kenya". And, over the course of 17 years, despite multiple revisions by Obama, the Kenyan birthplace remained a fundamental part of the bio on the agent's website.

Was Barack actually born in Kenya? I seriously doubt it, even though Michelle Obama has publicly stated that Kenya is her husband's "home country". Contemporary newspaper listings in Honolulu, for example, list the time and place of his birth. While this isn't ironclad proof, to be sure, it's good enough for me.

No, my suspicion is that Mr. Obama manipulated his birthplace intentionally (and cynically) to take advantage of certain benefits unavailable to those born in the United States.

Bookworm Room describes why that might have been. We need to set the Wayback Machine to 1978, when young Obama was seeking admission to college.

1978 isn’t just any year. It’s a very special year. It was the year that the Supreme Court decided Regents of the University of California v. Bakke (1978) 438 U.S. 265... [and] held that [the] race-based admission process was unconstitutional.

With that decision, Obama, who was a self-confessed slacker in high school, suddenly lost his e-ticket to a good college. He couldn’t know then (nor would it have mattered) that the various concurrences in this deeply divided opinion would eventually open the door to colleges and universities making race a “factor” in admission, so much so that this “factor-ness” eventually created a whole new quota system.

My best guess is that, denied an opportunity to use quota systems to parlay a lousy academic record into a quality college admission, Obama searched around for other means of bypassing his academic failings. It was this search that led him to announce that he was Kenyan. I’m sure that a certain amount of digging will reveal that, just when the Bakke decision came down, American universities were engaged in some sort of pro-active policy involving increasing the number of African nationals on America’s college campuses. Obama was happy to oblige the universities in this effort by co-opting his father’s nationality, and burying the fact that he was a garden-variety American black kid.

There’s the nexus — In 1978, Obama, who already then was willing to lie to achieve his goals, created a false identity to deal with the changes the Bakke decision wrought on college admissions.

This appears to be an extremely plausible explanation for Obama's refusal to release any of his college transcripts.

My guess is that this scenario -- or one similar to it -- helps explain why Obama enjoys the company of race-hustlers like Al Sharpton.

And where was the media for lo these many years? Busy investigating Sarah Palin's elementary school chums?

You got it...there’s also a video in which Cora Weiss attempts to tell her audience that Tom Mboya also received applicants from Kenya to attend US high schools, I see that as a blatant attempt by her to cover for how did Omar end up in a fancy private school in Boston. Cora was recently forced to recant her lies that Tom Mboya had anyhting to do with the kenyan attending university in Hawaii. Tom Mboya didn’t. The kenyan arrived a good month before the first airlift landed at Idlewild airport in September 1959. That flight was arranged by Cora, Jackie Robinson and Harry Belafonte.

“He picked up the scholarship from the University of Hawaii. And while he was there, he needed money for books and tuition and clothes, some of which we sent him.

“So he wasn’t on the airlift, but he was a member of the airlift family.”

The kenyan was interviewed in Hawaii in August on his arrival, the first plane load of 81 students arrived in the US on September 19.

What no one seems to have researched is the relationship between the kenyan and Mboya, whose families shared an enmity going back to previous generations, and Tom Mboya NEVER gave a government position to the kenyan, who worked for an oil company until after Mboya was assassinated, according to articles on Kenya websites.

The layers of lies are so deep and numerous, it’s almost unbelievable.

As there’s an article that states the kenyan and his half-brother shared an apartment while the kenyan attended Harvard, I’m leaving the arrival of Omar open. It makes sense he would start his education at the high school in the same year the kenyan commenced Harvard.

Not Central Park. Those two daisy-cutter shaped gray things to the right are water towers, which in New york city are mounted on the roofs of buildings and operate by gravity. Likely this photo was taken on the roof of the building where someone in the group lived.

About the tall guy - there’s something of a facial resemblance to Boerner, but I don’t think it’s he. The guy in the group has dominantly round eye sockets, with arched brows. Boerner’s sockets are ‘flatter’, as are his brows which extend pretty far beyond the outer corners of his eyes.

In the photo we know is Boerner, he’s standing beside what appears to be an end-table or a 1960s style record player type cabinet. End tables, record cabinet thingies were/are in the appx 24” - 30” height range. If Boerner was 6’ 5” - that’s 77”. That cabinet is just about level with his hip joint. There’s a drinking glass on the floor near Boerner’s foot. If it’s a standard 6” tall glass, then those screw-on wooden legs on the cabinet are also about 6” tall. Marking off the height of the legs against the cabinet, we have a cabinet height of appx. 30” from the floor to the top. Boerner is standing slightly forward of the cabinet, so if we move him back a bit, that would add appx. 6” from his hip joint to his belt. So now - from floor to belt, it’s appx. 36”. His belt is at half his height, which makes him appx. 72” tall, or 6 feet. That’s a half foot shorter than the guy in the group photo, and a couple of inches shorter that Barry. Also - Boerner’s feet appear to be on the small side, and the other guy’s feet are enormous.

In “Dreams” is mention of Barry’s mother and sister Maya visiting him in New York; perhaps it was Maya who took the group photo.

Wish this photo could go up on Drudge for a day - maybe the others in the photo would come forward for their 15 minutes, though if they were part of the Marxist, feminist types Barry sought out, maybe not. Interesting how lily-hued they all are. Associated with Columbia? Or Bill Ayers? SDS? Brinks? Barry went on his secret excursion to Pockeestahhhn in the same 1981 time frame as the Dohrn-affiliated Brinks attack in that New York suburb.

I'm an Australian, appreciate your comment, I wasn't sure about it being Central Park or not, but at least you have been able to identify the location as New York. So you don't see a lake in the background? I see what you mean about them standing on top of a roof, until you pointed that out, I thought it was some sort of wooden pier.

About Boerner and whether it's him or not in both images, that seems to be a matter of opinion. The fact is, it appears SAD visited zero in New York in that timeframe, and if she did, the man who identified himself as the room-mate being in the group is not so surprising.
