cnn is spinning it as being about business and free speech, anything but normal marriage.
Here in Northern Georgia had to wait over 2 hrs. for service. Traffic was backed up for blocks and there was no parking available. People broke out singing “Amazing Grace” Everyone was so courteous I couldn’t believe it. Just a real spirit of family, faith, and patriotism. Gave me a little hope for the USA.
Longer than the line for the “Loony Goo Goo” concert.
I went to a Tea Party and a Chik Filet A broke out.
I could not even get near the place today. Sadness. There were so many of us phobes and haters lined up.
It’s about normal marriage, business AND free speech. Most especially free speech without the threat of government intimidation — something that’s become almost a quaint notion under the current illegitimate regime.
Went by the local Chick today @ 2:44 pm, which is the restaraunt dead zone time, and it was inaccessable.
The lot was jam packed with cars and there was line of cars well out onto the highway. It was stopped on the highway which can be a bit dangerous, so I went and did my shopping and was going to see if it better after I was done.
An hour and 15 minutes later, it was worse. I figure I’ll give them support in a couple days.
God Bless ‘em, the people are making their support extremely visible, and I want to as well. I’ve never eaten there yet and am dying to try it.
As of ten minutes ago the Chick-fil-a in my North Mississippi town still has an incredible line. There are about ten cops directing traffic. I would estimate the line to get in the lot is roughly half a mile long. They have setup dozens of orange cones to help route traffic on four different nearby streets and all neighboring parking lots are full. According to local news reports, the Chick-fil-a in the neighboring town had a line of 500 people a few hours ago.
LOL...that makes a great tagline!
I think we’re witnessing the 21st century symbolic act of protest equivalent to the throwing of tea into the Boston Harbor.
A chicken sandwich gets the masses engaged after years of a media mafia and government ruling against the majority. After years of judge shopping and vote buying the public says enough.
I thought of it today while I was there. I wasn’t sure if anyone would get the joke. The fact is, it was the same people you would see at a Tea Party meeting.
I paid my visit after work this evening. Long line at the mall and looking into the food court, a lot of Chick-Fil-A bags. Great sight.
At the Chick-fil-A by me, you had to get in line down the blockk just to get into the parking lot. Once there, all the spaces were taken, including those in the adjacent shopping center. The drive thru line went around the building twice, even though it was moving steadily. The restaurant was packed with people steadily going in and out - this was all day.
As a double monthly donor, I am bumping this baby to the MOON!! I’m a widow on a fixed income. If I can do it, you can.
