Romney/Ryan or Bust! If you don't vote Romney this Nov. then you will be casting a vote for Obama

“Truth is the new hate speech.”—“Creeping Sharia”

“We [the people] own this country.”—Clint Eastwood

I feel like I ought to start out each of my articles anymore with a disclaimer, or caveat saying something along the lines of “WARNING: The contents of this article are to be considered null and void in the event of a “Reichstag Fire,” false flag event, and/or an invasion by Russian Spetsnaz in collusion with Northcom,“or words to that effect.

My intent is not to make light of such concerns, as God knows we have reason enough to be more than a bit edgy these days—what with the Patriot Act, NDAA, the torrent of Obama EOs (Executive Orders), various government agencies stockpiling millions of rounds of ammo, and other such things.

Personally, I am what you might call a cynical optimist—I hope for the best, but plan for the worst. I keep myself open to the idea that the US can peacefully pull itself out of the colossal mess that it is currently mired in—but I have enough guns, ammo, freeze dried food and whatnot to open a small survivalist store.

Be that as it may—the main topic that I wish to address in this article is my decision to back the Romney/Ryan ticket, and the fallout from that. Contrary to what some of you may think, I have not rushed off and enlisted in the “Dark Side.” I am as opposed to the Big Bank/ Big Corporation/Big Government/Big War cabal as ever...

Fiscal conservative, defense and budget hawk.

Much more libertarian on your precious puritanism you call social issues. If you want a theocracy, move to Iran. This is the United States of America, we don’t do that crap here.

I, like Madison, believe you cannot legislate morality.

What other people do, so long as it doesn’t directly threaten me, is no skin off my nose.

Unlike you fundamentalist evangelicals....who secretly worry that someone somewhere is having fun.

You don’t know me, pal....unless you’ve either seen me play or bought one of my recordings.

So keep your opinions of me to yourself.

I often take Devil’s Advocate positions just to see where everyone stands.

Now however is not one of those cases.

No conservative would abandon their country to a Communist Dictatorship. That is exactly what yo0u sanctimonious protestant heretics are doing.

Several times a week.

I’m a Catholic. We don’t revolve around one book - one that the contents were voted on by a bunch of contentious bishops.

BTW, the TRUE Bible is the Douay version, not the King James...he plays for the Heat now.

“we’ll remain powerless “

Uh huh. Sure. And how powerful will you be when Obama ruins America? How powerful will you be when the Democrats undo voter ID, pass amnesty, and turn former illegal aliens into voters? uh huh. Thought so.

You are annoyed about ‘fear’. It’s spelled - reality. 4 years of Obama has already taken away much and set us back a lot.

Stop being selfish about ‘your power’, something more at stake here. if you want power, run for office yourself. if you want influence, contribute time and money to candidates.

This is not about you. This is about America, our future as a country. Ask yourself this simple question:

WHO WOULD BE BETTER FOR AMERICA?
Romney or Obama?

That is, if you WANT America to be better off. There are some egotists and drama queens who will care about themselves more.

“While we live in fear, we’ll remain powerless and praying for some great conservative hero to save us - next election.”

No conservative hero will EVER save you if you are so clueless as to think that politics is about waiting for the perfect guy on the white horse to save the day. It never is. Listen to Clint Eastwood again. These guys are just hired hands. You have the marxist failed incompetent hired hand running on Obamacare and Big Government, and the center-right successful businessman hire hand running on Republican agenda.

Who should we hire for next 4 years? the decision that give you zero power is to not choose either.
If you vote for someome and they win, they you have a claim on their actions, and are in a position to demand them keep promises to you. I for one will demand a clean 100% Obamacare repeal in the first month if the Republicans win.
That’s more than we’ll get from Obama.

Its not MY fault you can’t afford the proposal and initiation fees for the country club, pal. I can and did, so there. God blessed me with an incredible talent and I exploited it. Isn’t that what America is for?

Maybe its people like YOU are screwing everything up...Letting your sacred principles allow us to end up in a communist dictatorship.

I’m not ridiculing Christians......I’m Catholic.

The One True Holy Mother Church.

I’m ridiculing protestants.....and every one of ‘em going back to that drunken Jew-hating womanizer Martin Luther is guilty of heresy under the official Baltimore Catechism.

Damn, get over it already and just grab the cheese to go with that pathetic whine. I am as big a Palin supporter and defender as there is but it’s been 4 years and she is nowhere in sight. Effectively supporting this marxist through inaction over a lame 4yo grudge is idiotic.
In my humble opinion of course :)

Assuming what you say about the talent is true..which I don't, you might want to have a bit more respect folks that have more respect for God's laws than you appear to possess.

“I am wondering how many posts like this will show up in the sixty or so days until the election by folks who somehow think they will change the minds of folks like me.”

Well, if logical fallacy doesn’t win you, perhaps you will be more receptive after being called ‘H8r’, dumb, pouter, mindless, socialist troll, rat, sickening, psycho, PaulBot, self righteous, nose in the air, n00b, DUmmie, bonehead, myopic, silly socon, American Taliban, sanctimonious, heretic, selfish, idiot, sicko, traitor or so on?

Surely there is a good, substantial case for Willard Mitt Romney in so many powerful arguments by informed supporters?

Something? Anything?

Well, okay, we’re going to disagree on Romney.

regarding obamacare - yes, I do believe he will sign waivers...to not do so would be political suicide.

regarding the military - so he hasn’t served...okay.

regarding Massachuessetts economy - reports are mixed. Some say it wasn’t good at all. Others say it did improve under his leadership. I’ve read both. I look at it this way. I know what obama has done with this economy. Romney has offered his plan which counters obama’s (reduce regulations, reduce taxes, waivers for obamacare (up front), energy policy changes, etc.)

I know who obama is - an unAmerican disaster. We have three choices

a. vote for obama
b. vote for Romney
c. vote for neither

i choose b. because a. is insane and c. is passing the decision to someone else. I chose to have a voice. I believe it is my responsibility.

I assume your objection is because of abortion. I believe Romney is pro-life.

Once again, you demonstrate that you rabid Romney supporters have the same contempt for Evangelical Christians that every anti-God Democrat and outstanding MarxoFascist from Rosie O'Donnell to Ed Schultz have accused us of being.

I guess if Romney's record is not much different than Obama's record, then it should not be surprising that the contempt for evangelical Christians is the same from both sets of supporters.

Keep driving that wedge in there Palp. You and your pals are doing a great job of cementing our resolve and gunning it into overdrive.

And BTW, we have no desire to be part of the 'Ruling Class Country Club". That you profess talent enough to be a statist is hardly impressive. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

But then condescending hubris is another in a wide range of traits you seem to share with the Obama drones.

I’ve have not been on FR for a few days and am wondering why you were zotted? It was not a prayer thread, but a discussion on godless democrats and you pointed out that there are godless republicans. Is the RNC and romney now a protected class? Here is what I posted there. I’ll probably get zotted; I did not know the rules changed.

I have not been on FR recently. What is going on? How is Raising Cain’s posting wrong?

“Absurd premise.”

How so? If the Republicans embrace injustice, and conservatives not only tolerate it but demand other conservatives praise the GOPe, not to mention join in prayer with Mormons and other various heretics and/or fakers (as long as they’re Republican), how can we say that we care what God thinks about anything? The enemies of God are running both parties, and they use their vapid, worldly version of religion to appeal to people who have no real discernment. In effect, the GOPe and the conservative movement have only the form of godliness, but possess none of its power.

“I find it offensive to even suggest for a single moment that God has anything to do with the GOP or the DNC. We’ve long since passed up when truth, honor and justice was important in who we vote to lead us and in how our party behaves. This is simply a secular battle between two opposing groups of heathens, sociopaths and useful pawns, and the end result will be that God will give us up to being ruled by evil Men, since our trust was in men and not in God.”

We all watched as the GOP & Romney lied, cheated, bought and stole the election. That means that there are many people in the GOP & romney & his campaign who either don’t believe in God (I know Romney does not believe in the one true God) and feel they can do whatever they want or do not fear God, so they do whatever they want.

Has FR turned into a polically correct blog or did a very rich person it buy out or 51% of it?

The things I’ve been reading on a few of these threads makes me wonder what is going on. Sorry, I’m with Raising Cain. I’m probably going to be zotted for this. Hey, it’s never happened to me, but if it’s for speaking the truth while offending a protected group.....well...go ahead...I’m going to bed.

When you’re zotted is that like being grounded from a certain thread or all threads? Is it for 24 hours or like my dad always did 1 to 4 weeks?

Two, in case you missed my post above, I’m Catholic.

I am not anti-Christian, being one myself.

I do think all you protestants are heretics, though.

“I assume your objection is because of abortion. I believe Romney is pro-life.”

I have several serious objections, but that one is the deal killer.

If he candidly stated that his earlier, life long position was WRONG, I could vote for him. Muttering around about changing his mind doesn’t get it, and his recent reaffirmation of ‘health of the mother’ sets it all back to zero anyway.

You have your reasons to support him and you find him persuasive. That is your call and your vote, and I hope you find satisfaction in it.

I regard the top of the ticket as something like the Iran - Iraq war of the 1980s. I really don’t see any distinction that I care about, and certainly am not going to commit to either. I wish they could mutually obliterate each other.

I have disliked to one degree or another each and every GOP presidential candidate since 1988, and still voted for each of them and materially supported them when I could. Romney is the bridge too far, and I can’t. I regard his career as purely negative, just as is his opponent’s. I’ll not endorse or assist or be part of either one of them.

We shall just agree to disagree then.
