Technically she was right, but she conceded the substance of Romney’s argument in her very next breath. But these debate circuses are all style over substance so the gotcha moment in Obama’s favor is all the general public will remember.

To me, his first utterance of the words “act(s)of terror” followed by a long diatribe about condemning freedom of expression missused to attack a perfectly harmless religion isn’t recognition that the attack was planned by terrorists for reasons completely different than that BS little movie no one has seen. Because ‘terror’ was mentioned in no way technically translates to ‘terrorists’ with a planned agenda.

Does anyone really believe Obama did not have the questions in advance and the plan was for Candy to do just what she did? Obama the Zero saved by the women, Candy and Hillary.

This “dust-up” will keep Libya/the cover-up by the administration of why 4 Americans were murdered, in the news. The Matthews and Crowleys of state media [snug as bugs in bed with the Obama-Biden racist-socialist agenda] will sink even deeper into the world of lies and deception, trying in vain to hold on to those voters who are now stampeding to Romney-Ryan.
I think the mention of terror in the Rose Garden was just a fortuitous insertion by Obama overwhelmed by his broader words and deeds. But Romney made a tactical mistake by emphasizing a relatively narrow verbal point over the broader substance of the issue. The sad thing is that the superficial debate theatrics arising from this error is going to hinder any further needed discussion on this issue.

This is true. However, Candy Crowley did not escape unscathed either in this and had to walk back her impudent interruption. On balance, while Romney attacked too narrowly, multiple days of rehashing this argument gives his side the opportunity to back up further discussions about his with the constant lock-step wag-the-dog accusation that this planned terrorist attack was not due to an unforseeable movie, but due to utter incompetence within the Executive Branch and State Department.
It reminds me of the verse about the kingdom lost for the lack of a nail. Details matter!
Last night's format, venue and moderator facilitator was astoundingly detrimental to Mitt Romney (and in fairness, to any Republican), yet he was still able to do well. Nevertheless, the abject willingness to roll over for the opposition in setting up these "debates" has reached the point where Alan Simpson and John Danforth need to be sent to the political glue factory by the GOP.
