We shouldn't be challenging what Obama claims he said on Sept 12th - We should be accepting that he called it an "act of terror" on Sept 12th, and then challenging him to defend the two weeks that followed - challenge the fact that he and his administration, knowing that this was in fact a terrorist attack, chose to spend two weeks denouncing the video instead of denouncing the terrorism:

Obama knows that it will be difficult if not impossible for him to evade this issue next week.
Recall that in the midst of this exchange, while Romney was pressuring O to admit that he had called it terror in the Rose Garden, O would only say ‘go ahead, Governor” (or something to that effect). This despite the fact that he had responded to Romney’s other questions throughout the night. O had been well coached to avoid this issue thus he backed away from engaging on it lest he get caught lying (again).
Zero knows that he can’t have it both ways and either way he’s got the short end of the stick in his hand. Romney needs to have the cajones to go after it.

So, IF terrorist attack was mentioned on the 12th, is it appropriate to send in the FBI to performa an investigation? Seems to me that we should use our military to fight terrorism. Or is it just me?

yes; if obama knew it was terrorism on sept. 12th, why did he, hillary & susan rice keep on telling the lie that it was the VIDEO that caused the muslims to attack the embassy on 9/11. . and then keep on APOLOGIZING to the muzzies for “insulting” their prophet? duh.

Exactly - no matter what he meant originally, Obama’s now “on record”, thanks to Romney’s Perry-Mason-like move of asking him to repeat his claim twice to be clear (which Obama couldn’t resist because he always doubles down when challenged), as having called it terrorism only one day after the attack - so all the stories about the offensive videotape which came later were deliberate lies......
That is the point Romney should start with when Benghazi comes up in the third debate.

The Focus group didn't get much discussion....much discussion regarding the convenient appearance of the rose garden transcript appearing in Crowley's hand as Obama called for Her to show Obama the "TRANSCRIPT"

I think we should attack his actions (and lack thereof). The question should be:
"Mr. President, you and Mr. Biden say you were unaware of the requests for additional security in Libya. Since the Ambassador and three other Americans are now dead as a result of the lack of security, do you now regret not attending your security briefings on the days leading up to September 11th?"
I thought that whole demeanor and tone at that moment was arrogant and disrespectful of Romney.
Obama was acting like the King in his dismissal of Romney.

I think you’re missing the point - it’s worse for Obama if we accept his claim that he knew it was terror on Sept 12th, and said so. Since then he knowingly misled us in the days that followed.
